Maura's Point Of View:

Me and Jane just dropped Sophia off at school, and we are on our way to BPD. They whole car ride was pretty silent. I looked out the passenger window while Jane drove to BPD. When Jane found a parking spot, we headed inside. Then Jane and I saw a very familiar military uniform.
"Casey?" Jane asked
"Jane." He said pulling her into a hug.
"What are you doing here?"
"My tour is over, thought I would visit." He replied
"It's so good to see you." I felt the jealousy boiling up, so I just walked to my office without saying a word.

Jane's Point Of View:

After I finished talking to Casey, I noticed Maura was gone. I walked down to my wife's office, to see if she was okay. When I walked into her office, I saw her deeply concentrated on a file.
"Maur?" I asked quietly but she didn't respond nor look up.
"Maura." I said louder and she looked up at me.
"What Jane?" She snapped
"What's your problem?"
"I don't have a problem Jane."
"You are mad that Casey is back aren't you?"
"Why would I be mad that your ex boyfriend is back? The man that you where thinking about marrying."
"That was a long time ago, Maura."
"So for all I know, you are gonna want to get back with him. You've done it before." She said clearly angry.
"I'm not doing this now. Your angry." I said throwing my hands in the air and walking out.

At lunch time, I went down to Maura's office, and saw Maura on her laptop probably shoe shopping.
"Me and Casey are getting lunch, want to join?" I asked
"No thanks."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah." She said and I walked out. I walked into the Dirty Robber, and got a booth for me and Casey. About three minutes later, Casey walked in and sat In front of me.
"Hey Jane." He said
"Hi."
"So how are you?"
"Hanging in there." I replied
"How are you and Maura doing?"
"Not so good. We fight about everything. She is trying so hard and so am I but I don't know how much longer this is gonna go on for. I wish we could go back to the time when we were just one happy family."
"You will figure it out Jane." He said, then we ordered our food and ate.

Maura's Point If View:

I was driving Jane and I home. I couldn't help but notice the constant giggling and phone buzzing.
"Uh oh Casey just found out that his leave is being cut short and he is freaking." Jane said, then I took the phone out of her hands and through in the back seat.
"What the hell?!"
"We are not even home yet and the first you want to do is talk to Casey." I said as she grabbed her phone from the back.
"Don't you dare call him." I said
"I'm gonna talk to him! This, this is jealousy, Maura. You are jealous of Casey."
"Well do you blame me? I mean, he gets most of you; the straight you, catholic you, they girl who loves the army, and I just get the gay you which is only like 20 minutes a night not even cause your always tired." I argued
"I am trying, Maura. I am trying to keep you happy, Casey happy, our little girl happy." She said
"I think we should take a break." I said under my breath, and I heard the clicks of the keyboard stop.
"A break? You think we need break?" She asked in shock.
"I want to fix us but the only way I know how is to be honest."
"We are trying to get closer, so what we need more space?"
"It has worked in some cases."
"How long?"
"30 days?"
"You need a break from me for a whole month?"

"If you where to go for it I was thinking 3 maybe 6."
" 6 months? Fine 30 days how does this work?"
"Since we have Sophia, we live in the same house, but we live separate lives. We will take turns taking care of Sophia, no talking unless it's an emergency, finally no sex with anyone or each other." I replied
"Maura this is ridiculous."
"Jane, we are completely different people then when we first got together. We need to spend some time apart and just take a break. It's only 30 days."
"Whatever." She said and the rest of the car ride was silent.
