Maddie
"Maddie wait!" Ben yelled as he raced to keep up with me.
Ben had driven us to the hotel that the text message from Matt said to come too, after that text, I received another text with a room number. It was dark, cold and very windy, we could almost probably have a storm tonight but I really didn't care about the weather right now. This was my chance to find out if my instincts were right after all.
"Maddie, please slow down and think about this" Ben pleaded
"I don't have time to think about anything, except catching them two together"
As we neared the front of the hotel, I saw a familiar face making their way from the car park towards the hotel.
"Oh well look who it is, did he text you too?" I snapped
"Who?" Emma asked, trying her best to give me her best confused reaction
"Maddie" Ben said trying to grab my arm and pull me back
"Don't give me that, Matt, he's here, sent me a text to come here and what room number he's in but I don't think the text was really meant for me, you know, since I have my own place"
"Okay, I have no idea what's going on here, but I am not meeting Matt here, I'm meeting someone else here" Emma tried to explain
"Let's see, shall we?" I said I marched past her and made my way inside
"Hello, can I help you?" The polite old lady who worked here asked.
"Yes, my boyfriend sent me a text to meet him here, Matthew Smith, he's in room 783"
I waited while she looked it up on the computer.
"Ah yes, he's there just now with someone" she told us
"He's what?" I asked confused
"Do you know who?" Ben asked
"No, young girl though" The old lady smiled
I looked at Ben confused and then to Emma who just gave me one of those "Told you so" looks.
"I don't get it, if it's not her then who else could it be?" Ben asked as we made our way out of the elevator
"I don't know, but I can't wait to see" Emma said, with a smirk on her face I'm sure
I just ignored her and checked the room numbers as I made my way to room 783. I turned left and walked along the long hall until I got to it. Once I reached the door, I raised my hand, ready to hit the buzzer but Ben stopped me.
"Are you really sure about this?" Ben asked me, genuinely concerned
"I have to know Ben"
"Okay, whatever happens, I'm right here for you" Ben reassured me
I nodded before Ben released my arm and rang the buzzer.
"Room service, finally, do you realise how long we've-" Matt called from behind the door, he did have a big smile on his face until he opened the door and saw us there
"Maddie, what are you doing here?" Matt asked nervously
"You sent me a text to meet you here" I said as I pushed past him and made my way inside the room
"I didn't send you any text about meeting here" Matt said, trying to defend himself
"Who is she?" I asked, giving Matt a knowing look
"No one" Matt tried to say
"She must be special for you to travel all the way out here"
"Do we know her?" Ben asked
