With Lisa's intelligence, he naturally knew of her thoughts.
However, since she did not say it, it indicated that she knew how to restrain herself. This was reason enough for him to forgive her.
His cold expression softened and his gaze turned a little heated. He pulled the seat beside him and commanded. "Sit down."
"Oh." She sat down obediently by his side.
Lisa lifted his bowl. He had yet to touch the food in it. He scooped a mouthful of abalone porridge into his spoon and lifted it to her lips and said sternly, "Open your mouth!"
The row of maids behind them watched the spectacle with wide eyes.
They never expected their young master, who was usually as cold as an ice mountain, to treat Miss Kim this well.
If they could also become his fiancée, they were willing to give up thirty years of their lives.
Jennie's expression was awkward. This was slightly embarrassing. "Lisa, you don't have to feed me like I'm a baby, no?"
"This is your reward."
She lifted her brows. "There's a reward for making you upset?"
In that case, she would make sure to upset him more.
He leaned in closer. She could clearly see the hidden desire in his frigid cold eyes as he whispered. "Didn't you say sometime ago that you would wait for me? I've always been diligent when it comes to dealing out rewards and punishments. Since you're this obedient, it's only right that I reward you."
"..." She had carelessly mentioned this, yet he treated it seriously.
Could she take those words back?
She took in his fierce features and was fearful that he would swallow her up whole if she did so.
She politely pushed the spoon towards his lips. "This is your food. How can I have it? I'll serve myself another bowl."
Her refusal was clear. Given his intelligence, she was sure he would understand, right?
It wasn't clear if Lisa failed to understand or if he was acting foolish. He responded in a heavy, unhappy tone. "We are engaged. It is only right that we share everything. Eat!"
She took in the bowl of untouched food...
He had already served it for himself yet he didn't touch it.
He had been waiting to serve it to her first.
This man was always cold and ruthless towards others. All his enemies only knew to fear him. Yet, he was unbelievably doting towards her.
Jennie was deeply moved and decided to open her mouth.
The delicious food prepared by Yu Ting Villa's kitchen was especially sweet. Her entire heart was filled to the brim with this sweetness.
After finishing their meal, Jennie headed to the bedroom on the third floor first.
Lisa followed her. When he saw that she was seated on the windowsill, he immediately frowned. "What are you doing? That's dangerous!"
"Didn't I say I would wait for you at the window?" [1. Bed and window are read the same way in Chinese, 'chuang', though with different intonations.]
She smiled beautifully. "A person should keep their word. I wasn't lying."
When Lisa heard this, his stony expression instantly turned a little enraged. "Kim Jennie, your Chinese is very good. I heard it clearly. I would know if you actually said 'bed' or 'window'!"
"I said window..." She insisted.
"Come down!" He waved his hand. His tone was demanding and firm. He refused to accept any arguments.
"I refuse to." She was afraid that he would push her down the instant she did so...
Lisa's tall and broad figure approached her side. He lifted her with one arm and wrapped his other hand around her elbow.
Jennie held onto the window frame and refused to let go. "What are you doing?"
A hint of rage appeared in his gaze. "No one is allowed to fool me!"
