"Enough." Jennie patiently announced the end of their act. "What fart of a Second Uncle are you, 'Lee Shuhai'? I should be addressing you as Yang Xueyao, shouldn't I?"

She brought out a stack of documents with a passport photo attached to the very first page, and slammed it on the coffee table.

The passport photo was of Shuhai's face, however the photo was a black and white shot taken more than ten years ago.

"Let me tell you a story." Jennie began indifferently. "Many years ago, a couple named Kim Huaitian and Zhao Yun gave birth to a beautiful pair of twin girls. They named them Kim Lilan and Kim Liyin. Since young, Lilan was sensible and thoughtful. Her younger sister, Liyin, however, was always disobedient. During her school days, she smoked, drank, fought and even caused trouble outside. Eventually, when she turned fifteen, she eloped with a gangster named Yang Xueyao. Due to this matter, Kim Huaitian and his wife were angered to the point where they disowned their daughter, Liyin. Five years later, Kim Lilan turned twenty-five and she married Lee Dong. They both adopted a boy named Sehun. As for Kim Liyin, she did not have a good life after eloping. She wrote letters on multiple occasions to her elder sister seeking help. Her sister naturally lent her money behind their parents' backs. In the fifth year of her marriage, Kim Lilan was pregnant. Unfortunately, it was a stillbirth."

Jennie then brought an old hospital document out and placed it on the table. "These are the records from Kim Lilan's hospital visit that year."

She paused for a moment before continuing. "Kim Lilan was heartbroken over this. At the same time, her younger sister and Yang Xueyao had a daughter. Unfortunately, the two of them barely had enough money for themselves. How could they possibly raise a child? Thus, Liyin sent her daughter to her elder sister for adoption."

She had heard her elder brother, Sehun, mention this in the past. Her mother had indeed been pregnant that year. This was also why both of them had never suspected Krystal's background.

Jennie's gaze shifted onto Krystal, who appeared as pale as a sheet of paper. "Lilan named her young sister's daughter Kim Krystal. Ever since then, Second Sister, you became my parents' child and led a blissful life."

Krystal fell down on the ground. "How did you find out about this? How..."

Jennie paid no attention to her and continued. "My parents have never lied to you about your birth. Thus, you always knew that you were not my parents' biological daughter. In fact, you even met Liyin and Yang Xueyao secretly on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, my elder brother and I did not know of this. Our parents were worried that we wouldn't treat you well if we knew about this. Thus, they kept this truth from us. In fact, among all of us, you received the best treatment in the Kim home."

"Enough!" Krystal raised her voice. "What do you mean by the best treatment? Since Kim Lilan claimed she would treat me as her birth daughter, why did she still give birth to you!"

'Lilan' tried to stop her immediately. "Krystal, what are you talking about?"

But Krystal could no longer control herself. "Mom, Jennie clearly already knows everything. What's the point in denying this any longer?"

When 'Lilan' heard this, her legs weakened and she nearly fell down.

"That's right, at this point, what's the use in trying to lie?" Jennie had a faint smile on her lips. "Why weren't my parents allowed to give birth to me? Sehun is an adopted child. Krystal, you also weren't their own child. My parents loved each other dearly and they only gave birth to me as a representation of their love. Were they out of line in doing so?"

Krystal had no way of refuting this.
