The sight of her was ridiculously frightening!

She wondered if Lisa was afraid of ghosts?

Jennie smiled mischievously and approached the closet. She put on a long, white lace sleep gown and brought her hair down. She pushed her hair forward so that it covered her face the way it would in a horror film.

She glanced at the mirror through the gaps of her hair. Underneath the yellow light...

She appeared exactly like a frightening female ghost who had just climbed out of the mirror.

If she could add some background music, the effects would definitely be stronger.

Suddenly, she heard firm footsteps approaching the room.

Based on the sound, she was certain it was Lisa.

She immediately brought her phone out and searched for a frightening background music on her music application.

The alarming noise of a female ghost started playing on her phone. "Ahhh..."

Jennie sat in front of the mirror. As expected, Lisa entered the room.

She sat unmoving like a ghost before the mirror.

The music reverberated through the dark room. Anyone would be frightened to death.

Even though she was acting, she felt her own goosebumps rising.

But Lisa appeared not to have seen anything. He walked past her side and tugged open the bedside drawer to retrieve a fountain pen.

Was he blind?

She was waiting to startle him. Yet, to her surprise, he was ignoring her?

Jennie sat up slowly. She curled her hands like claws and moved stiffly with her feet splayed outwards like that of a malicious ghost's. She stood before him and was about to push him down.

Lisa straightened his body and was expressionless as he sized her up.

Jennie saw that he was not moving and hesitated to push him down. What if she actually frightened him?

Lisa waited for a few minutes. When he saw that she still wasn't moving, he asked softly with impatience. "What are you still waiting for?"

He was waiting for her to enter his arms so that he could squeeze her to death!

Although it was inconvenient right now, he could still manage a hug or two.

Jennie faltered. She pushed her hair back and revealed her ugly, uneven skin. She asked gloomily. "You're not afraid of ghosts?"

Lisa asked her in amusement. "What do you think?"

Sobs!

At this moment, a knocking noise could be heard at the door.

Bambam stepped in and said, "Madam, are you trying to frighten Boss by pretending to be a ghost? You're really too childish. With our Boss's aura and ability, even a real ghost would choose to run away from him. Once, a spy stole a set of classified documents from the Manoban family and hid in a famous haunted house nearby. At the time, eight people had already died in the haunted house. No one dared to step into the place. It was frightening even in the daytime. Yet, Boss charged in at midnight and directly caught that person alive."

He glanced at Jennie's frightening appearance. "However, though Boss isn't afraid of ghosts, I am..."

Miss Kim's face was really more terrifying than that of a ghost's. However, this time, he did not dare to say it out loud.

"Bambam, don't bring up your superstitious beliefs." Lisa commanded sternly.

"Yes, sir!" Bambam immediately lowered his head respectfully.

Jennie could not be bothered to keep up with her act any longer.

She glanced at Lisa's powerful figure. His aura was intimidating and there was no doubt that he was placed way high on the food chain.

This man was of actual, imperial lineage. She was certain that any ghosts or demons that dared to approach him would only be asking for death.

Although she had been reborn, and was even an atheist, she had never met a ghost before.

Lisa's frigid gaze landed on Bambam. He asked unhappily. "What are you doing here? Didn't I tell you to take a leave?"

"Doctor Shi instructed me to bring Miss Kim a bag of sweets."
