She then began crying in fear. "I had so many gambling debts and I was jealous of you for having such a good husband. He was loaded with money while my Yang Xueyao was full of flaws. I really had no choice. Please let me off. I was blinded with greed!"
"You didn't just take my life. You didn't even take proper care of my body..." Lilan appeared to be muttering resentfully.
Liyin immediately responded. "I'll definitely come up with a way to return to the Kim family's storeroom and retrieve your body from beneath the ground. I'll bury you well and give you a proper place to rest!"
"You should have already done so that year!" The voice no longer sounded as frightening as it did before. Instead, it sounded angry and criticising.
"That's because Jennie was living in the storeroom and I was afraid that something would go amiss, and she would find out..." Liyin responded before she noticed something wrong.
Lilan's voice now sounded different and very much familiar. She raised her voice. "You're Jennie!"
"That's right."
'Lilan' brushed her hair back to reveal her true appearance. She was actually Jennie. "Liyin, you've committed so many heinous acts. I didn't expect you to be actually afraid of ghosts."
"You pretended to be a ghost to trick me!" Liyin finally reacted.
"That's right, Yinyin." Jennie smiled mockingly. "My mom shared everything with you, didn't she? It's clear from the fact that you knew she often brought me to the graveyard when I was young, and the way I know she addressed you as 'Yinyin'."
Jennie's stunning gaze was filled with hatred. She dearly wished that she could cut Liyin into a thousand pieces. "You actually killed my mother and buried her in the storeroom where I lived for seven years!" The thought of this left her covered in goosebumps.
"Who asked her to stop helping me?" Liyin suddenly turned resentful. "I was her sister yet she watched as the debt collectors backed me into a corner without offering any help!"
"You admitted that she had helped you multiple times with your debts. You were greedy and even murdered someone, yet you dare to claim that you were right!" Jennie clenched her fists tightly and delivered a harsh kick against her neck. Liyin immediately lost her voice in pain. She started to cry silently.
She wanted to tell someone that Jennie was a monster who could turn invisible.
Unfortunately, the extreme pain in her throat left her unable to speak.
Jennie had taken away her ability to speak!
"I've already recorded the things you said earlier. Your death sentence is here. Be prepared to die." Jennie controlled the urge to kill her as she turned to leave the dark prison cell.
Inside the prison break room, Sehun rushed forward the moment his third sister appeared. "Did you find anything?"
Initially, he had wanted to go in with her. However, she refused and he could only wait outside.
"En." Jennie nodded. It was although she had lost all her strength. She fell sitting on the chair.
Sehun took in her pale complexion and guessed the answer. Still, he carefully asked. "Then... our mom?"
Jennie handed the recording pen, which she was holding, to him. He had just begun playing the recording when lisa stepped into the breakroom. "Jennie, why didn't you inform me before coming here!"
"Lisa..." She stood up and rushed into his arms.
When Sehun saw this, he was very disappointed. He would never be the person she looked towards for support.
However, his attention was suddenly drawn towards the recording pen. After Jennie pretended to be a ghost, Liyin's words could be heard loud and clear:
"Sister, I was wrong, I was wrong. I shouldn't have killed you. Please let me off!"
