Why was it in her hands? He was leaving without it?
A love-struck smile appeared on her face.
She was certain that this man had come to see her.
That night, Lisa left in a hurry to deal with urgent matters from the Manoban family.
Jennie tossed and turned across the large bed. She could not help but feel as though something was missing.
It was only when she was exhausted that she realised that she was missing Lisa, the firm and dependable pillow.
The next morning, the birds chirped noisily outside the windows.
The morning sunlight peeked in through the balcony and added a hint of warmth to the extravagant bedroom.
Jennie stretched her body and lifted her hand to her face casually. She realised that most of the uneven scabs were gone. Her skin had also become smoother.
She immediately sat up.
Most of the scabs had fallen naturally onto the bed.
She tended to move a lot in her sleep and had ended up rubbing her face against the sheets. Thus, all the scabs which had been on the brink of falling off, were finally gone.
She did not pause to put on her slippers and rushed towards the vanity. She immediately took in her own reflection.
Fuck!
What was she looking at?
The ugly woman who was usually covered in scabs was no longer here.
Through the reflection, she could see that her five features were perfect. Her nose was thin and sharp, her brows were slightly curved, her eyes were bright and clear and her skin appeared to be especially soft and glowy.
Furthermore, she had lost a lot of weight. Her chest was curvy and her waist was thin. Her legs were also long and slender. All in all, her figure was absolutely perfect!
She was utterly stunning regardless of the angle.
She stood on the weighing scale in the corner of the room. She now only weighed 45 kilograms. Considering that she had a height of 1.67 metres, her diet was a complete success. Hooray!
She wondered how Lisa would react if he saw her attractive appearance and perfect figure?
She would blind those people who criticised her for being ugly everyday!
Unfortunately, the only imperfection was that the scabs had fallen off to reveal some red scars.
She ran towards the en suite living room and opened the wine cabinet. She reached for the large bottle of medicine that Doctor Shi had prescribed and used the spoon she had prepared earlier to scoop two dollops of it. She then spread it evenly on her skin like a thin mask.
After using this for a few days, all the red marks would completely disappear.
The wine cabinet was used to store extremely expensive alcohols.
The reason she kept the medicine in the cabinet was because she treasured it dearly.
"Lalala... lalala..." She hummed happily as she applied the medicine on her skin.
Butler Zhao noticed the noise from outside and knocked on the door. "Miss Kim, are you awake?"
"Come in."
Zhao Cheng stepped in to see that Jennie had applied a layer of something yellow on her skin. Only her eyes, nose and lips were revealed. He faltered for a moment.
He then continued expressionlessly, "Breakfast has been prepared."
"Thank you for the trouble." She smiled joyfully.
"You appear to be in a good mood?"
Jennie smiled. "My diet was a success. I don't have to lose any more weight. All I have to do is to maintain my current weight."
"Congratulations, Miss Kim." When Zhao Cheng heard this, he brought his phone out and made a call. "You can send it here now."
Jennie did not ask any questions.
After all, he was an extremely busy butler. Perhaps he was instructing the helpers to bring in the ingredients they bought today?
The Yu Ting Villa had countless maids and bodyguards. The amount of food everyone consumed was surely enormous.
Jennie headed downstairs and had her breakfast. Suddenly, she heard the loud noise of several cars driving into the front yard.
