Something's coming. Have no idea what it is but I know something's on the way. How would I know? Well, becoming an Alpha to the werewolves in Shadow Blood pack has somehow connected me to the ways of the forest. The trees, plants, animals, hell, even the air and sky are buzzing with energy that I can feel.

The sky opened as lighting hit the earth the same time thunder roared in the sky, shaking through me as if the thunder came from my body. Rain beat against me harshly.

I can feel whatever it is running through the forest at a ground-eating pace. The object was big, weighed over two hundred pounds, and was dangerous. The faint smell of blood awoke the inner vampire that wanted to hunt. But not now. No, I had to wait.

'Red Alert! I repeat, Red Alert, all the pregnant women and children must immediately evacuate to the Safe House,' Anthony ordered through the mind-link, then, to the rest, 'Warning to all members, there's an intruder running through the east side of the territory! Chase him down and-'

'No!' I cut Anthony off. 'It's heading straight torward me. Once it's here I want you all to surround it. I want a guarantee that the intruder doesn't escape. I'll handle the rest.'

'Yes, Alpha,' they quickly respond, not hesitating in the slightest. Although I haven't been myself since my Beloved has been captured they don't ever question my judgement. And I respect that.

The pounding of feet on the ground came closer and closer. The wind, rain, thunder, and lighting picking up speed until finally a huge figure burst out of the bushes and trees.

Standing in front of me was an unrecognizable being. Leaves, twigs, and dried blood all clung to him. The fur covering his body wet and hard from the rain and days old blood. The only indication I received of his true identity was his weak scent, plus his height. As werewolves of all shapes and sizes surrounded us, I took note that he was the biggest out of them all.

No, I had to be dreaming. This is all a dream. Yes, a dream. And any minute now I'm going to wake up and go out looking for my Beloved.

But the rain felt too real, the thunder too loud, the lightning too bright. . .the fading scent of my Elizabeth coming off of him is - All. Too. Real.

"Bruce? Is that really you?" I didn't know what else to say. To question him on why he was here without Ellie right next to him.

Ignoring everyone's gasps and whines of surprise I wait for him to say something. Anything. I take a step towards him but froze at his next words.

"E-Ellie's in trouble, w-we need to. . . ." his voice faded as he swayed, slowly. Before he could collapse on the floor I sped forward and caught him in my arms.

"Call for Dr. Munroe. Now!" I roared. Some wolves lifted their heads and howled while I lifted Bruce off the ground - didn't care if it looked weird as hell - and rushed him into the pack house.

"Clear off the table," I order Seth who didn't stop once in his movements as he ran his arms along the surface of the kitchen table, effectively throwing everything to the floor.

At the same time I, gently, placed him on the table Dr. Munroe flew into the kitchen with his medical bag at the ready. The bag was made of leather, and opened on top with a split-handle design.

He quickly checks for Bruce's heartbeat with a stethoscope then checks for any injuries. When he first took a glimpse at Bruce's back his face paled.

"What is it? What's wrong?" Anthony questions. We both move forward until we had a decent view of his back.

I hold back a growl as I take in the long, deep gash running from the gap between his shoulders to the middle of his back. His skin was split right open.
