It’s that exhilarating rush that envelops you after you’ve been fortunate enough to study the very topics you suspected would grace the question papers.

This was precisely the overwhelming emotion that surged through Rachel the moment she submitted her answer sheet to the vigilant invigilator standing at the front of the classroom, her smile stretching from ear to ear.

The grueling study week had taken a considerable toll on her, leaving her feeling as though she were somehow more slender, more fragile than usual. Yet, deep down, she understood that this perception was merely a trick of her exhausted mind, weary from the relentless cramming and the daunting task of trying to grasp the entirety of what they had been taught throughout the semester.

She stood in the school parking lot, her uniform crisp against her skin, hands placed firmly on her hips as she awaited the arrival of her best friend. With only ten minutes remaining before the end of the exams, she felt an impatience brewing within her; she certainly wasn’t going to linger in one spot for too long.

With a weary sigh, she made her way to a nearby bench nestled under the shade of a tree. Sitting there, her thoughts drifted back to that unforgettable night when Rolf had touched her. The memories flooded her mind with startling clarity: the warmth of his kisses, the gentle caresses that seemed to transport her into a realm of bliss, and the way his fingers had guided her toward a sweet oblivion. But what lingered most vividly was the tenderness with which he had cared for her—especially the surprising moment when he had led her to the shower to clean up after their shared intimacy.

In the days that followed their intimate encounter, they resumed their interactions as if nothing had changed. Rolf would only muster up the courage to exchange polite greetings, asking her how she was, and that would be the extent of their conversations. This peculiar distance made her question the nature of their relationship. It wasn’t until one enchanting evening, as she was tending to the garden, that he had cornered her against the wall behind the house, stealing a kiss that was both fleeting and charged with an undeniable longing, leaving her breathless and yearning for more.

"Ray! The paper was so easy!" Zhavia’s exuberant voice broke through Rachel’s reverie, her arrival heralded by a beaming grin that seemed to light up the air around her, momentarily startling Rachel from her romantic musings.

"Glad you crushed it, Z!" Rachel replied, her spirits lifting as she raised her hand for a high five, which Zhavia enthusiastically met with a clap of her palm.

"Now that we’ve wrapped up all our exams," Zhavia continued, settling down beside Rachel and crossing her legs, her demeanor brimming with excitement, "it’s time we get the answers we seek from our boy!"

Rachel’s brow furrowed in confusion. "What boy? Are you talking about Rolf?"

"Yes! I think I’ll just call him Rolfie. He’s a solid guy," Zhavia retorted, her attention momentarily diverted to her impeccably polished black nails, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"You should all thank me, by the way. If it weren’t for me chasing you downstairs like an eager puppy, nothing would have happened between you two," she added nonchalantly, shrugging her shoulders as if the matter were of little consequence, yet unable to hide the pride in her voice.

" Nothing happened," Rachel declared, her lips forming a delicate pout, a mixture of defiance and embarrassment.

"Oh, really? Do you honestly believe I didn't hear you moan? Let me assure you, I heard everything—every tantalizing sound from A to Z," Zhavia retorted, her voice dripping with playful teasing.
