"You are about to make quite the stir in the fae realm, my dear!" Notre declared with a sense of confidence, his gaze fixed on Rachel as she sat patiently in a chair, waiting for them to complete their artistic transformation. Notre was the male of the duo assigned to her, while Gia, the female, stood by with an air of enthusiastic anticipation.
"Really? I can’t believe that," Rachel murmured, her eyes wandering around her room, taking in the familiar surroundings that felt so mundane compared to the extraordinary moment unfolding.
"Oh, but it’s true! After all, you are the master's mate, aren’t you?" Gia interjected, her voice laced with excitement as she delicately applied a soft pink blush to Rachel's cheekbones, wielding a tiny brush with the precision of an artist.
"Yes, but—" Rachel started, uncertainty creeping into her voice.
"Who would have imagined it? A human intertwined with a half-vampire, half-fae... Just imagine the beautiful children you two will create!" Notre exclaimed, his hands rubbing together in delight, his enthusiasm infectious.
A deep blush colored Rachel's cheeks as her thoughts drifted into uncharted territories, contemplating their first intimate encounter. The thought of him bare before her, the warmth of his skin against hers, sent a thrill through her. Yet, the notion of children was a future she hadn’t quite prepared for.
Initially, they had refreshed her with a mere snap of their fingers, and in an instant—swoosh!—she felt revitalized, akin to the invigorating sensation of stepping out of a long, soothing shower. Next, they directed her to sit at the dressing table, clad only in a towel, urging her to turn away from the mirror, promising a delightful surprise awaited her.
With no other option, she acquiesced to their whims. Their wide smiles and eager demeanor indicated they were ready to work their magic.
Truly, these two were remarkable!
Rachel learned that they hailed from the fae realm, their true forms concealed beneath human appearances. Gia and Notre were both affable and chatty, completely dispelling any boredom she might have felt. She found herself genuinely fond of them.
"All set, darling!" Gia proclaimed, her voice dripping with excitement as her eyes sparkled.
"But I’m still in a towel! What about my dress?" Rachel replied, her brows knitting together in confusion.
"Ah, now that’s the most exciting part, "Notre interjected, his enthusiasm palpable. "Gia, fetch the box!"
Without hesitation, Gia nodded and darted toward the door.
Rachel’s gaze remained fixed on Notre, bewildered by how being in a towel could possibly be the highlight of the moment.
Her hair and makeup were complete, yet the absence of a dress and shoes lingered like an unfinished song. They didn’t elaborate further, and the silence that enveloped them felt comfortable, rather than awkward.
Moments later, Gia returned, balancing a massive box in her arms. Rachel's eyes widened in astonishment. Was that the dress Rolf had purchased for her? The luxurious packaging alone hinted at its high price. The box, golden and grand, had a delicate pink bow adorning the center. She squinted to read the words inscribed on it, but they remained elusive, too far away to decipher.
Gia, with her curly purple hair styled in a playful pixie cut, possessed a heart-shaped face. She was a petite, slender figure, while Notre, with his long gray hair cascading down to his back and broad shoulders, he was very charming. Despite the gray of his hair suggesting age, he appeared to be in the prime of his youth, perhaps in his early twenties, with striking features that included full, pink lips.
