The ache of separation tugged at my heartstrings as I watched my parents wave goodbye, their eyes glistening with unshed tears. The prospect of leaving home was a bittersweet pill to swallow, yet the allure of education beckoned.

Sasha, my closest confidante, would be returning home from school soon, but our reunion would have to wait. The thought of months apart was a sobering realization.

The morning sun painted the sky in hues of gold and pink as I awoke, my body still sore from the night's passionate encounter. It was a first, a thrilling departure from the norm. Nathan had eagerly sought a repeat performance, but I politely declined, much to his understanding.

Before departing, we shared a tender farewell. Zhavia, my other close friend, was preoccupied with her own schedule, but I knew we'd soon be reunited in our new town.

As the car pulled away, I couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and trepidation. A new chapter awaited, and I was both excited and apprehensive about what it would hold.

Adorned in a sleek black dress, simple sneakers, and a half-up half-down hairstyle, I felt a sense of stylish confidence. A touch of pink gloss and a spritz of body spray completed my ensemble. The dress, just long enough to graze my knees, showcased my tanned legs.

My thoughts meandered, lost in anticipation, until the car came to an unexpected stop.
My gaze widened in disbelief as I took in the sight before me. It wasn't a house; it was a magnificent mansion, its grandeur dwarfing my expectations.

"A-aunt Jenna, where are w-we?" I stammered, my voice barely a whisper.

A garden of vibrant roses, in hues ranging from deep red to pristine white, flanked the mansion. Their beauty was a feast for the eyes.
"We're in heaven, my dear," Aunt Jenna replied, her face beaming with joy.

"Let’s get out!" I exclaimed, my excitement bubbling over as I reached for the door handle.

Jenna chuckled, shaking her head at my enthusiasm, and unbuckled her seatbelt to join me. I wasted no time, stepping out to take in the enchanting surroundings. Towering trees whispered in the gentle breeze, while birds serenaded us with their cheerful chirping. A sophisticated fountain danced in the center of the courtyard, its jets of water sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight.

Just then, an older gentleman emerged from the glass doors of the mansion, dressed impeccably in a tailored black suit, his gray mustache and shiny bald head giving him an air of sophistication.

"Richard!" Aunt Jenna called out, her voice filled with joy.

"Jenna! So good to see you! And I see we have a lovely guest!" His warm smile broadened as he approached us.

"Ahh, yes." In an instant, Jenna pulled me in for a side hug, and I offered a shy smile, wrapping my arms around her awkwardly.

Confusion washed over me. What was happening? Why was I here?

"She’s my gorgeous niece, and she’ll be here with you for a while," Jenna announced proudly.

"𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕?" The word escaped my lips before I could suppress it.
