Chapter57: Not Madara.

"You killed them?"

"Only temporarily. To send a message."

"What the hell does that even mean?"

"That they're all alive and that Kumogakure might lie low for a while to recover from the shock. Killer B is probably singing both curses and praises at the same time at this very moment."

Tsunade blinked. The memory immediately faded to nothing. She lifted her gaze to look at the people in front of her. Utatane pursed her lips in dismay. Mitokado sighed, tiref. Danzō was just seething.

"Root has carried this village for years! You may not see it, Tsunade, but you need it.", he said.

"Oh, trust me, I see what you're talking about. I also see that Anbu is more than enough when it comes to carrying the village. That's how I know that Root is useless. As of tomorrow, Root will be completely dissolved and absorbed into Anbu.", Tsunade said. Danzō was not impressed at all. It was a wonder how this woman even found out about Root, it must've been Suzume. Either her or Uzuki. No, there was no other person. It had to have been Suzume.

"That's it. I'll be on my way now.", Tsunade said before quickly stepping out, leaving the council to ponder.

"Isn't that Suzume a part of the council now? She is the Anbu battalion advisor, surely she should have been a part of this meeting.", Mitokado said.

"She hasn't been in a single meeting since she was assigned the position, Homura.", Utatane deadpanned.

The man sighed.

"She's a nuisance, that girl. She has absolutely no idea what she's doing by seizing Root. She's putting the village in ultimate danger.", Danzō said. The room fell silent for a while, before Utatane spoke up once more.

"Naturally, this was bound to happen, Danzō. She did warn you, and if I'm being honest, you're at her mercy. The girl is clearly out for blood. Tsunade isn't our biggest fan, so she won't work in our favour. I fear our time as Konoha's supreme council has come to an end.", she said seriously. It did seem so, but at what cost? Would they just step back and watch as this two minute old baby taunted them?

"I know that look. Be careful, Danzō. You know just what this child can do. You're the one who wanted her on your side to begin with. Wasn't it just last year that she housed Suna's most notorious serial killer, a battle strategist and the strongest wind style user, the same ones who played a part in attacking Konoha? You said she would easily destroy Hiruzen's power, take a look at yourself now, hoping she drops dead before she can get to you.", Mitokado warned.

"I don't care, Homura. I'm done hesitating.", Danzō said as he made for the door. Utatane and Mitokado were left with their confusion. Was he going to try and kill Tama? If so then he was on his own.

"Shizune-san, you're an awesome Medical Jōnin commander. I don't think the Medical Division would be in working condition without you.", Tama said as she looked up at the older woman from her place on the floor. "Your acupuncture, antidote making, and healing jutsu are unparalleled."

"There's still Tsunade-sama who I'm behind. Besides, your Cellular Regeneration and soul binding seal put me to shame.", Shizune laughed. Tama shook her head.

"Cellular Reconstruction, Shizune-san, Cellular Regeneration is actually really dangerous. As for the soul binding seal, it's not original; my grandmother created it. I have the Soul chains. None of those are even medical ninjutsu.", Tama argued. Shizune pursed her lips. What was she talking about?

"What's the difference between Cellular Reconstruction and regeneration?"

"Regeneration actually forces sped up healing where bone, muscle and cell are all re-formed and bypass any further treatment. It's painful, and I've had to bind a few souls to keep people from dying during the process. Reconstruction makes us of both mine and the patient's chakra to form new parts to replace whatever has been damaged. The outcome is the same, the patient is fully healed by the end of it, but the overall process is what sets them apart.", Tama explained. Shizune cooed.
