In Ryuujo-go, Toyotama-hime, her brother Ugayafukiaezu, and Mizuchi, were accompanying Otohime and Tamayori-hime as they went about their day. This was, unfortunately, one of the many duties they owed them whenever they were together. They wouldn't be away unless dismissed.
"Are we seriously offering to ourselves someone who we don't how she became a sage? A divine sage, at that? With a sage power we ourselves can't decipher? Are we really sure about everything?"
"According to Suitatsumi, a Noro by the name of Mizubana once told him of a boy who did something similar. He remained pure and true to the end of his waking days. Hashirama, his name was.", Otohime said softly as she spun a string of jewellery in her hands.
"We do know that Tama wasn't being trained to be a sage when she became one, but rather she was training her body to adapt in the yearly changes in the behaviour of her chakra. Even then, Suitatsumi recognised the shift immediately and prepared her to sign a contract with us.", Tamayori-hime said. Mizuchi seemed to only have become more unsettled by this. What if the girl was sent to destroy their home? That's all shinobi ever did, after all.
"Of course, the body could only go so far, but chakra could become limitless within one's person. As such, while Tamakiku-hime became better for a while, her body continued to lose the battle of dominance and weakens with each day. She's currently working on something to combat that, and I'm afraid we'll have another immortal if she succeeds.", Otohime explained.
"Just like the prophecy of Nōmendō said.", Toyotama-hime said softly, mostly in wonder and awe. Lifting her gaze to look around, she said, "I'm willing to see how it goes."
"Omago-sama!", Mizuchi cried, much in spite of himself. At this, Toyotama-hime and her brother looked at him, since he didn't specify which honourable grandchild he was referring to. He seemed not to take note of this as he was lost in his own mind. How unusual.
...
A Konohagakure Jōnin stood in front of the inn. The whole place was packed with what Lady Tsunade said to be only Tama's people. With a deep breath, he entered. The lobby was filled with all sorts of people, all with Uzushiogakure headbands and bright smiles on thier faces as they went about their day.
"Who're you looking for?", a woman asked as she suddenly appeared before him. He blinked, startled, and took a step back. She was dressed far too well for someone whose clan was on its last legs, everyone in the building was. However, he wasn't here to check how rich these people looked.
"Excuse me?", he asked, still startled. His gaze, however, didn't stop searching.
"You're a Konohagakure shinobi, looking lost in your own village. That's not possible, so you must be looking for someone. Who are you looking for?", the woman said again. The Jōnin quickly surveyed her, before looking away. Witty.
"I'm looking for a Uchiha Tama. You haven't seen her, by chance, have you?", he asked, finally bringing his gaze to land on her. She had a carefree smile on her face, and was about to respond before—
"That'd be me. What's up?", another woman said as she, too, appeared out of thin air. Now, the last time he saw Tama, she was no more than five years old and stuckbto Minato's side, but he was sure as hell that she couldn't have grown to become wide eyed, slick haired and round faced. Sure, she had a round face back then, but her chin was also sharp, and her rounded jaw was destined for greatness. Also, her hair was a wild kind.
With a light laugh, the man easily ignored the strange woman and looked around again.
"Quit messing around, Suiko-san. The man is clearly here for business.", the first woman said, nudging her friend out of the way so as to let the Konoha shinobi pass through.
