It was a warm day in the land of fire. Tama looked around as she and strolled in the main yard. Tatsu were a relatively calm bunch of chakra beings, but they were especially powerful when engaged in combat. It was after leaving Konoha that she brought herself to let Suitatsumi take her to meet his superiors. She left behind a clone to do her work back on earth.
You see, the Tatsu lived below the ocean and in the clouds, and their Wani kin largely roamed the rivers and sea surafce waters where the portals to this domain were found. While Suitatsumi was half Tatsu, it wasn't excused from the duty that was to guard its post, in this case the waters between Uzushio and the Uzumaki clan shrine, despite not being Wani. You see, Suitatsumi had two forms, a koi fish and a tatsu. If she had known all of this earlier then she would have convinced Suitatsumi to take her to this place, but clearly fate had other plans.
After having spent several months here, she realised something that was not clear to her before. The Tatsu/Ryuu were far different from the Wani. The Wani being not too aesthetically pleasing because of their rough scales, but their thick bodies gave them something of a cute image. They still looked like they were the reason crocodiles existed. As for Suitatsumi's Koi fish form, it was unclear whether it bestowed, or an ability, but it was useful when it needed to hide from curious eyes. Suitatsumi was very different due to its mixed genes, slightly more slender and longer than a wani, and far more colourful. Unfortunately, it still didn't qualify to be called a Tatsu.
The Tatsu were beautiful at first sight, colourful and long with thin bodies that coiled elegantly, like ribbons when they took flight.
However, they were more brutal than the Wani in how they trained. While the experience was largely the same, the Tatsu weren't afraid to break bones and strike vital points. However, it wasn't something that she couldn't handle. You see, she promised herself a year ago that no matter how things turn out, she would work on perfecting her craft, every aspect of it.
Thanks to the several months in Tatsu no Kuni, she got the chance to learn how to regenerate her own cells without stimulating her wounds with chakra from her hands like a medic. Her jutsu was usually used on other people by prompting their own chakra to regenerate their cells, but now it could work on her by just drawing cahkra from certain points.
It truely paid to be a jack of all trades, even if you were a master of nothing. Which is what Tama was, essentially. However, it was beneficial to master as much as she could in case of future need.
For example, how she enfused the Shiki Fuuin with Izanami and her cellular regeneration to revive the Uzumaki clan was an vast improvement from the basic forms of each of these jutsu.
In this case, Shiki Fuuin(the reaper death seal) was used to recall the damned souls of the clan folk. Izanami undid the decay and damage to their corpses, and Imposed Cellular Regeneration healed and replaced any overly damaged parts when her left eye was exhausted. You see, Tama only had Izanami in her left eye's Mangekyō Sharingan. Her right eye had Izanagi, which wasn't as effective.
Just as her thoughts began to wander, a light tap on her shoulder brought her back to the present. Tama turned around to meet the placid gaze of a beautiful woman, not much older than herself, adorned from head to toe in pearls and jewellery. She immediately lowered her head in greeting.
"Oh no, Tamakiku-hime. You and I are equals whether here or elsewhere.", the woman said softly. Tama only smiled the shadow of a smile as she nodded.
"I've been looking for you these past few months, mother wouldn't let us see you until now.", she said. Tama quirked an eyebrow, curious. She had no idea who this person was, but based of how she was dressed, she was clearly a princess.
