"I believe that she's beyond capable of fulfilling such a duty. Tama-chan is beyond her years in both intelligence and prowess."

"Are you sure about this, Minato-kun? She is only five years old.", the third Hokage said as he cast his successor a sidelong glance. Minato smiled an easy going smile, briefly looking up at the old man. His gaze quickly turned back to the documents in front of him.

"Of course, Sandaime-sama. She's perfect for the title of Chūnin, she's capable of doing so much that could help the village. If I can get her to just agree, we can do a lot with her. Just think about it.", Minato explained, his gaze still stuck on the papers before him. While he hadn't seen her in a good seven months, the girl was still the same strong willed scholar he knew. He wasn't even shock when she recognised him and called him by name.

The third Hokage sighed. As a Hokage, Minato was unwilling to back down where the village's safety was concerned. Him being so keen on personally taking Tama under his wing would ruffle the council's feathers. Him talking to his predecessor was more of a formality than anything. Minato wasn't asking for his permission, he was telling him for the sake of it.

"I accept.", Tama whispered from her place before the desk. They had long forgotten that she was there, she had such an effect on people. She could be like a fly on the wall. There was once a time when Minato was discussing classified information about an enemy village, when the girl walked in and sat in absolute silence.

It was only after the Jōnin left his office that she announced her presence. Funny enough, the fellow didn't seem to have noticed her either.

It was for this reason that he considered putting her in Anbu. She had an innate knack for blending in.

She had already secretly been placed under Minato and Kushina's training, which she was doing for the past three years(until the seven months of seperation). The third Hokage didn't know of this, Minato hadn't planned to tell him for a long while. Possibly until after he placed her in Anbu.

"Are you sure, Tama-chan?", the old man asked. Tama nodded seriously, her expression not faltering one bit. She looked at the fourth Hokage through hooded eyes, the man had done well to not tell her parents of her abilities. If not for him, then she would long since have been somewhere training under the most brutal conditions, only to be placed in the background of her brothers' lives.

Sasuke was barely four months old, but already, he was set to train under one of the best trainers in the clan once he was able. Tama had been given Master Sora, an ordinary Genin level civil adviser, when she was four years old. The curse of hatred might have driven her.

"And what of your parents?", the old man asked. Fugaku had mentioned, time and time again, that his daughter was an ordinary child who would lead a normal life. While his main focus was his son, the man doted on his little girl so much that one would think her spoilt rotten. He didn't want to see her having to deal with issues that were too big or dangerous. In fact, he had even had her trained in a way that she wasn't put through anything that would pressure her. It was shame how the child's untoward activities eluded him, but there was no way to blame anyone for the strained relationship that they had.

Tama was one of those children who needed encouragement and unwavering support. When she couldn't get that in the way she expected from her parents, she simply moved to look for it elsewhere. That's why she became so close with Minato and Kushina.

The third Hokage pursed his lips, his gaze still locked on the girl before him. Tama didn't even miss a beat with her curt response.

"If they don't ask, then they won't know."
