The souls that she collected were stored in her Divine sage seal, which was only visible when in sage mode. So, upon her arrival in the Unclaimed Lands, she immediately used Izanami to reverse the decay and restore each corpse to its former glory. She then summoned the Shinigami and began trading the souls of her enemies for those of the people she had retrieved.

The Shinigami said a lot of things apart from his ritual chant when consuming and releasing souls. Tama didn't pay too much mind, but it was interesting to her the words he said every time she summoned him. It was like he was reporting to her, accounting for each soul as if obliged to. It was interesting indeed.

By the end of it, her left eye were bleeding and almost blind, but Tama was no fool, she knew very well that she had yet to perfect self regeneration. So she had taken just enough souls to account for her shortcoming, and so, one more soul was exchanged for the restoration of the eye.

After that, Tama started working on find clothes for most of these people. She sent out several clones with money and measurements, and the time the Sun rose at least half of them were guaranteed a few sets of clothes. Tama immediately showed them to the bath houses, where they groggily freshened up.

On her way to her bedroom, she ran into Karin and Akira, who were greatly relieved to see her alive and well. According to them, the Matatabi that her clone collected had been delivered and the patient was now doing well. The information was vague, but the girls themselves did seem to know much. Mizubana wouldn't tell her, so she wasn't going to bother her.

"Thank you girls, and I you did well last night, Thank you for that as well. Now, we should get on our way and catch up with the rest of the teams. The Chūnin exams won't take themselves.", Tama said softly. The girls nodded in understanding.

"Wait. I've been meaning to ask about our permits. How did you get Konoha to accept us?", Akira asked. At this, Karin nodded, curious. Tama smiled.

"The Hogake is curious to see who exactly these Uzumaki and their Tamaki brethren are. As far as she's concerned, the Uzumaki clan is extinct, and there's no such clan as the Tamaki. She believes that by allowing them to enter Konoha, she can gauge them out and see if they're the real deal.", Tama said, before beginning to walk towards her bedroom once again. Karin and Akira shared a look.

"Why would she care so much? What value does the Uzumaki clan hold to her?", Karin asked as she began to follow her. Akira immediately followed close behind them.

"Her grandmother was Uzumaki, and she grew up with my grandmother, who was also Uzumaki. She probably feels obliged to see this through.", Tama said.

"Oh, I get it. So, it's like this, isn't it?", Karin asked thoughtfully. Tama hummed as she came to a slow stop before her bedroom door. As she pushed the shoji open, she noticed that the girls weren't leaving, which was odd because she told them to go and get ready.

"What is it?", she asked, annoyed. The girls shared a look, seemingly uneasy. Akira seemed to gather courage, taking in a deep breath. Tama's eyes instinctively narrowed.

"Onee-san... Our mothers...", she said.

"Let's give everyone time to settle in first. You'll see them once they're ready.", Tama said gentle, her prior annoyance gone in a split second. "Go make sure everything is ready for the travel to Konoha. We head out in twenty minutes."

She was the youngest in her class, and in fact as brilliant as a well honed shinobi. It was feared and hoped that she would be something like that Hatake Kakashi, and maybe go so far as to join Anbu. Yes, he remembered very well how a four year old beat everyone in her class and became a Chūnin like it was as easy as breathing.
