"Hey can you hear me? It's me... Your...", a young male voice said softly. She knew this voice. She had no memory of it, but she knew it, for sure. She looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of this person. For some reason, all she could see was a blob of black, peach and red.
"Who are you? Do I know you from somewhere?", Tama asked.
"Do you not recognise me? It's me...", the person said desperately, he moved in and out of her view, as if being pulled away by some force. Quickly, he said, "I speak years apart from... But after our brief encounter I lost her again. I need you to completely... The..."
What was going on? What was this person saying. Who even was he?
“You're not making sense. Who did you lose? What do you need from me?", she asked. The young man groaned, almost like a frustrated cry.
"I'm talking about your... She's lost somewhere around here. The... It so I can...", he shouted.
"Wait, don't go! Wait!", she called desperately, but he kept moving away.
"I can't stay for long, I don't have the strength. Please, help me!", he cried, the force finally pulling him away. Tama tried to follow, and ended up running up and down mountains to no avail. He was gone.
"Wait!", she cried.
Her eyes shot open, feeling dry as a desert. She sat up, struggling for breath. For some reason, she felt so... So helpless, and useless. There was something warm on her forehead that fell into her lap. She reached for it and found it was a towel. Wincing, she put her arm back down to relieve herself of the pain.
"You're alright, princess.", a warm, gentle voice said from beside her. Mizubana took the towel from her lap a dropped it into a bucket of hot water. At the sound of her voice, Tama looked for her frantically. Causing everyone else in the room to fall silent and look away, sombre. The old woman gladly caught and cradled her to keep her from hurting herself.
"It's alright. Soba-sama is here. Nothing can hurt you now.", she soothed. Tama's fell silent, with not so much a whimper, or a sigh.
"A mew towel, please.", Mizubana said, and Shisui immediately wringed another towel while she gently guided the girl to lie down.
"What happened?", Tama asked, throat dry and raspy. At this, someone offered her water.
"You went into trance, dear. We all picked up the drop in your signature in our sleep. We thought you were leaving us.", Mizubana said softly.
"That bad?", Tama asked. Mizubana nodded, then hummed in affirmation. By the looks of it, the girl couldn't really see at the moment.
"Where are Karin-chan and Akira-chan?", she asked, softly as Mizubana placed a new towel on her forehead.
"Your girls have gone to the aren to watch the first match of the final round. They won't be back for a while.", the old woman explained.
"Good, I need them to be away for a bit.", Tama said decisively, staring at nothing in particular. Then, with a very meaninful tone, she requested, "Bring me Shisui-san."
Mizubana hummed and slowly turned her gaze to look at the young man. He avert his gaze, flustered, and heaved a sigh.
"The boy is with us.", she said, frowning slightly at the way Tama seemed to relax at that. Then, the girl motioned for him to come closer, which he did. He placed a hand on her's to annouce his arrival at her side.
"I'm here.", he said softly. Tama squeezed his hand as she shifted ger gaze to what she assumed was his face.
"You're always here, aren't you?", she said, equally softly. She then raised her hand to search for his face. Someone cooed teasingly, but was reprimanded with a light slap.
