"If you want to get stronger like you say you do, I recommend you build on what you already have going on. There's no one who can identify genjutsu like you can, and don't tell me about Sasu-tan. His prowess is enhaced by his eyes, so he has an unfair advantage.", Tama said as she walked around Sakura in slow circles. It was a day or two after Sasuke ran away, and the older girl didn't seem shaken all that much. What Sakura realised was that she was definitely affected, but didn't let that get in the way of her plans.

"Right.", she whispered, hoping that she didn't seem as lousy as she felt. That must've been the case because Tama was right in front of her, lifting her chin with a finger.

"Look alive, a kunoichi must never let her feelings show no matter what the situation. I'm not saying that you shouldn't feel anything, but allowing your emotions to cloud your judgement would only bring about your own peril. Do you understand?", she said, tone heavy with meaning that she couldn't quite understand.

"Yes, nee-san."

"Good, and Sakura?"

"Yes?", she asked, her heart beating like a drum. So loud that she could hear it in her ears. She watched in anticipation as Tama lowered her hand and seemed to manifest a tantō. She took up an odd taijustsu stance. Sakura held her breath.

"I need you to understand that while we shinobi work exceptionally well together, we also need to work alone, or with the most random people sometimes. Its good to form bonds with our teammates, but make sure to never get too attached. Alright?", Tama instructed seriously. With a final nod, Sakura took her stance, and the sparring began immediately.

...

She watched as a flurry of kunai flew her way. This was the exact same thing she did the previous year, when those Otogakure shinobi attacked her. It a a very basic move, now that she thought about it, but not entirely ineffective if used properly. She went through a series of hand signs and let the attack land, just to throw the new rookies off.

"We got you! Hand in the scroll.", one young male said, but before he finished speaking the girl turned into a log. Substitution jutsu was the best thing to have been availed to genin, really. It saved them a lot of trouble.

From where she realy was, Sakura could hear the frustrated groans of the rookies as she hurried to join her teammates. They weren't far from the tower, it was visible from under the cover of the large boulders. From there she could also see three familiar figures heading in that direction. She surveyed the area, noting that there were no visible traps. She raised a hand, motioning for her teammates to follow.

They got to the tower without anymore trouble. Something the team owed to Sakura's care. You see, everytime they split up they fell into all sorts of traps, the main being genjutsu based because there were so many advanced opponents. While It was a struggle, Sakura didn't let them down even once. For this, they were greatful that the Hokage got them someone with more experience than them.

...

"Your ubiquitous presence is unsettling. Don't you ever run out of chakra?"

"No.", Tama said. Shisui cast her a dubious look when she didn't explain. She didn't even look in his direction as she asked, "How is everyone?"

With a soft hum, Shisui leaned back on his elbows against the railing.

"They're doing well so far, they're just wondering if their kids are all alright. You know, the usual.", he said, raising his gaze to study the stars as the rainclouds began to clear up. He found himself scrambling to grab the girl's hand when she began to walk away, strating when she looked back at him, a barely visible frown on her face.
