Kyo stepped on the grounds of the school, her eyes glued to the ground. She had no idea where the hell Mocha had gone, but she didn't feel any better. She didn't even want to face any of her classmates.
The girl walked in the hallways quietly, as it was early, only a few students were on campus at the moment. She walked through a long hallway with large windows littered all over it. The sun rays crept in and illuminated her path.
"Cupi~! Cupi~!" A voice called, and she recognized that voice well. The white-haired girl turned around to face the person calling. He had green hair, the prefect badge and the uniform for the male students.
It was Geo. The male walked up to her with a big grin, like he's ready to go back to school. They shook hands and spoke a bit, as they continued their walk. "Say, where is Mocha? I usually see you both together." Geo said, as she bit her lip.
"She's missing, and we have no idea how it happened." She answered softly, as Geo raised his hand to his mouth out of pure shock. He then lowered his hands, and his expression became that of a saddened one. "Oh..." He said quietly.
"Well, anyway, how was the vacation for you?" Kyo chirped, as she glanced at the taller male. Geo beamed at her, pumping his fists. "Well! I was sketching a guardian costume throughout it. We'll be getting our guardian costumes this term, sick, right?!" He said excitedly.
Kyo bobbed her head. She hadn't thought about costumes at all whenever she and Mocha talked about guardian work, and so on. The girl faced the front, thinking about what she could get for her own costume in her second year.
They both walked down the hallways which slowly packed with students. This silence was awkward, and Kyo just quietly tapped her fingers against her new backpack. Geo looked around as well, hoping to see a friend of his.
"Soo, what are you planning for your costume?" She asked out of pure interest, looking to the side at the male, who grinned from ear to ear. "A casual green outfit, I guess? We get to create our guardian profile and stuff, like registering into the guardian database." He explained quickly.
"This early? You're not even seniors yet..." Kyo mumbled, as Geo nodded, shrugging. "We start internships this year, since the first year is basically everyone being assessed on their weak points, you know?" He said as Kyo hummed in response.
"What name did you pick?" She asked, guessing that they didn't pick their guardian aliases yet. He rubbed his head nervously. "Ah, I'm not too sure yet, maybe 'Geographic'?" He suggested, as Kyo raised an eyebrow.
"Why would you want your alias to be related to history?" She laughed as Geo sighed with frustration. They eventually reached his locker, and the male pulled out a key and opened the lock with it. He proceeded to dump his bag inside and take out the stuff he needs.
"I can't think of anything, besides, my name is also in it." He answered, as he took some books out, pencils, and slammed the locker door shut. Kyo pouted, crossing her arms childishly. "Not fair! You guys get all the cool stuff!" She mumbled.
"I'm pretty sure first yearers can now move into dorms starting this term, since last term they were busy sorting out all the student files, like who moved out and who didn't," He explained, as Kyo bounced up and down.
"That's fun!" She said happily, as Geo chuckled. Her eyes soon spot two familiar faces. A black-haired boy with dark colored eyes, and a coffee-brown haired girl chatting together while walking. The raven locked eyes with her, grinning.
"I'll see you later, Geo!" She said, as the green-haired boy nodded, waving before he left for his class. Kyo trotted up to them quickly. The girl squealed, pulling the cat into a big hug. They broke the hug, and the two broke into fits of giggles.
"Cupi! I missed you~!" She said happily, and the girl turned to Ruki, shaking hands with him. "Where's Mocha? Aren't you both always together?" Ruki asked, raising both his eyebrows, he wondered if they both got into a fight or something.
Kyo froze. She really didn't want to be reminded of the fact her best friend was missing, and that she had no clue on finding her yet. Kyo exasperated, rubbing her hands together. "Well, Komuki, Ruki, Mocha's missing, she won't be here for a while." She explained.
Komuki raised her hands to her mouth, shocked by the news. Ruki was taken back, and he now had a serious expression on his face. "That's awful! Do you think someone kidnapped her?" Komuki asked, as she turned to Ruki.
"We have no idea, it's driving me nuts, really." She groaned, kicking the air with her foot. Ruki pat her shoulder to comfort her, while flashing her a simple smile. His face softened. "I'm sure she'll show up! Besides, I heard there's a new late transfer," Ruki told them both.
To avoid thinking about the fact her friend got kidnapped, Komuki's eyes brimmed with excitement upon hearing the news, she turned to Ruki and clasped her hands together. "Really? Are they with us? In class?" She asked.
"I don't know, but we'll have to check each of the class's list-" Just as he was about to finish, Komuki yanked him and Kyo by the wrist, rushing them through the hallway. They bumped into multiple students, mouthing them 'sorry!' and
The campus was big, yet there were only around 240 students, excluding the support classes, with them included, there are total of 510 students. The support courses are all on the left side, while the main courses were on the right.
Support courses were for students aspiring to be support guardians in battles, not on the front lines. The average grade is separated into four classes; nA, nB, nC, nD (where n stands for 1st year (1) or second year (2) or third year (3)).
The grades never interact with each other, in sports events, and etc. Each year, a cup held for the main courses of the second and third years occur. It's called the 'Interkingdom Elite Cup', or IEC for short. It's hosted for main course students only.
The main courses only hold up to 20 students per class, making a total of 80 students per grade, meanwhile the support classes hold about 30 students per class, making around 90 students per grade.
The campus is a home to all those students if they wish, and to even many teachers. Altogether, during academic year, around 650 people walk the campus, with teacher, staff and students included.
