Mocha was told she'd be leaving before the school term started, and the girl angrily argued about it. She was in the end forced to pack up, and her heart was shattered more when she found out that Kyo would be staying behind.
Hunter had suggested she take the book with her, so that the book would be safe, the girl nodded, agreeing to that. She was walking around in circles, feeling anxious. What will she tell her parents? How is she going to face them?
"Are you that nervous to go home?" Kyo said, as she watched her friend pace around the room. She turned to Kyo, nodding. "Listen! I want to stay, and even bring my parents here, I like this place." She said honestly.
"Wait."
"I figured it out!" Kyo said, as she stood up. Mocha looked at her with confusion in her eyes, she hoped she had figured something that would get her to stay in Arcania. "Killing Kinoko is a must now." She said, as Mocha raised her eyebrows.
"What?"
"This is all linked to the Blaze Kingdom! If Kinoko goes down, then you'll be safe! You could also resume your search!" Kyo said. Her dedication for revenge burned even brighter now, as Mocha's mouth was left open.
"But... Hunter?" She said softly. Kyo had to do it, they bonded well, but she'd have to give up their friendship to protect Mocha, and possibly thousands of others. "I'm sorry, my friendship with him has to be sacrificed for this." She whispered shamefully.
"Kyo, seriously, you were devastated the first time, this definitely will break you. You can't handle losing friends, I know you too well." Mocha said, as she sat down by Kyo, placing her hands on the girl's shoulder firmly.
"Do I have to value the lives of many, and yours, or his heart breaking?" She asked. Mocha stared at her, before sighing. Cupi had won that round. The girl felt sad about all this. Her powers were gone, and everything was so messed up.
"This is going by too fast," Mocha complained, one second, they were resting after their battle, and now, Mocha will be leaving Arcania, permanently. Kyo felt apologetic for her, since she seemed to be stressed about all this.
Mocha took out the book, and flipped through the pages, as she tried to distract herself by studying more. Kyo decided to let her be, and she exited their bedroom, closing the door silently behind her.
She turned around and was met with Hunter. He had a serious expression, one of being backstabbed. He stared into her purple eyes, as they shared a brief moment of complete silence. Hunter then looked down, disappointed.
"You're still planning for that?" He said quietly, as Kyo cringed. He was eavesdropping? Or did he coincidentally hear her speak about it while he passed the corridor. She was convinced with the first option more.
"Why were you eavesdropping?" She asked, crossing her arms. Hunter gave her an unamused look. "You're loud." He bluntly stated, and as soon as she was about to speak, he raised his hand to keep her quiet.
"I get that your family was taken from you, but why do you have to take mine from me?" He asked her, as she bit her bottom lip, clenching her fists. "It's your relative's fault, Hunter!" She said in defense, as he raised his hand again.
''It's Haruki to you now." He said sternly, leaving her confused. "Haruki?" She repeated, as he slowly nodded. "You only call me by my last name now. I don't want to hear my name on your tongue, okay?" He said quietly.
Kyo groaned, massaging her temples. She then placed her hands on her hips, narrowing her eyes at Hunter, and furrowing her brows. "Very well, Haruki. It's Cupi to you then," she said rudely, before pushing past him and walking away.
Hunter opened the door to the room, as he saw Mocha sitting on the bed, reading. She looked up at him, and he gave her tired eyes. He closed the door behind him, before walking up to her and sitting down on the bed oppose to the one she's on.
"I'll miss having you." He said to her, giving her a warm, soft smile. Mocha returned the smile, closing her book. She then changed her expression to a worried one. "Hunter, did Kyo talk to you about um, the murder plan?" She asked.
She really had to remind him it, didn't he? She shook his head. "I was heading to the washroom, and I heard her openly say she'll kill my only living relative who took care of me before I relocated here." He said nonchalantly.
Mocha did an 'o' shape with her mouth, before rubbing her neck awkwardly. "I'm sorry, she's revengeful." She explained her friend, and Hunter rolled his eyes. "Yeah, whatever. We're on last name basis." He muttered.
"Isn't that normal? Don't you use last names formally?" She asked, tilting her head. "You only use last names here if the person asks or if you're on bad terms, we're the second one." He explained, as Mocha nodded.
"She didn't apologize, right?" She asked, and Hunter shook her head. "Like I'd take her apology for it, she'd take any chance she has. It's Cupi we're talking about here." He said softly. Mocha tapped her knees quietly.
"Kyo's not so bad, she's just enraged. The Blaze Kingdom treated the wind refugees badly, and she wanted revenge. Right, killing isn't the best option, but be honest, you'd want revenge too, wouldn't you?"
He shook his head.
"I'd take it out on the guards, if the ruler was the relative," He answered her casually, as Mocha sighed, rubbing her head with frustration regarding his response.
