The following days, everyone did well in their classes so they can get permission to go, and successfully, they ended up being given permission to attend the matches for that entire week. That same evening, everyone was invited to the common area for class 1C to celebrate.
Mocha was busy working on her element with the help of Ruki and Kyo, while the other students relaxed before their trip, because afterwards, they had extra classes to catch up before the end of second term examinations.
Mocha was now able to create small solar balls in her palms. It wasn't much, but it made her happy that she was still able to keep her powers. Ruki cheered for when it happened, and Kyo punched her shoulder playfully.
The qualified second yearers were excused from Combat Arts classes the entire preparation period to train with the senior combat teachers, so that the school can ensure them to reach between the top 5 between thousands of many contestants.
This has been happening for the past thirteen years though, so the image had to be kept up. Azure Academy really only got its fame due to the fact many previous and current Lunarities have graduated from there, making its popularity spike.
People believed that if their students attend, they could become capable of achieving greatness in the future, since Guardian-based jobs are pretty popular. Mocha herself was still studying the school system to understand, with Kyo's help.
"They're allowing Support Guardian courses to join?!" Takumi yelled in shock in Komuki's face, who nodded. He slouched in his chair. "That explains why this year's full of more hyped viewers... Are any of the qualified students Support classes?" He asked.
Komuki shook her head, before Onami interrupted their little chat. "I'm pretty sure that's because Guardian course students are more exceptional, otherwise the person wouldn't fall into Support class." She explained.
"I feel really bad too! The scout and backup classes are always left out... it's awful!" She said, making a very very sad face. Mocha had decided to sit down with Kyo and Ruki with the others who were conversing.
"Backup, Scout and Support classes?" Mocha repeated, tilting her head. Komuki nodded, flashing her a happy smile. Yumie cleared her throat, as she elegantly placed her hands on her lap. "This school opens four different courses to students, Mocha." Yumie explained.
"The main Guardian class, which is the one we're attending, requires a point score of minimum 150 (the max being 200). Or if there's too much high scorers, they'll put the top scorers in the main classes." She explained.
"Those are classes A, B, C and D," Onami finished off for her, before Yumie cleared her throat once more, hinting for Onami to shutup. "Then, we have the Support classes, they are the ones who scored between 100 to 149. Or... If the main courses are full, once again." She said.
"Classes E, F, G and H," Yumie informed her. "The final two courses are for the people who even managed to score 50 points and up, but depending on which sector they'd be better in, they're placed accordingly. Classes I and J are for the Backup courses, and K and L for the Scout classes." Yumie finished off.
"The classes I, J, K and L have 25 students in each of their classes, while the main two classes have 20 students per class," Onami continued for her, as Mocha nodded, taking in all the information.
"The top students of the senior year can take supplementary classes or their 'fourth year', which makes them Supplementary students by title. They have better chances of obtaining a license than ordinary graduates." Onami said.
"Then, the star students are the top seniors, once again. Basically, the ones who have access to taking Supplementary classes, I heard many Lunarities who graduated from here were star." Onami mentioned.
"Didn't Lady Cupid take them too? and Bibiki?" Fumiji asked, as Mocha's ears perked up at the first name. Mnemi Pika graduated from the school, as a star student and a Supplementary class student? How cool! But... who's Bibiki? Is he a current Lunarity?
"Who's Bibiki?" Mocha asked, before Onami answered her. "You really are clueless, aren't you? Bibiki is the current High Lunarity 9, the Blossom Kingdom representative." She explained to her, and Mocha nodded to indicate she understood.
The door to one of the dorms opened, revealing none other than Haruto. "KEEP THE DAMN MUSIC DOWN!" He yelled, before turning on his heel and marching his way back into his room. Zakine lowered the volume of the music on his phone with a frown.
"Class 1E's going too! Can't wait to meet them!" Komuki said happily, as Fumiji grinned. "We all can't wait to meet them, right guys?" He said, as Zakine and Masashi (a guy with turquoise eyes and black hair, a member of their class who uses Aqumarine element) nodded.
"I heard the Support course students resent us though," Another new voice spoke. It was Seishi Nagami, a Shadow element user, he had black eyes, and black messy hair which was tied into a ponytail. Another new voice then responded.
"Why though? We barely interact with them, don't we?" Ryohei, a Blaze element user asked. He had brown hair and brown eyes and seemed to glance around at everyone and listen into their conversation.
"Whatever, we're just better that's why they hate us," Tomura Vanesaki, a member of their class who uses the Poison element. He rolled his eyes, putting a leg over the other. Yumie furrowed her brows, annoyed with this.
"That's extremely rude! You must have some manners, Tomura!" She says angrily, as the silver-haired male does the talking gestures with his mouth to mimic her, his toxic-green eyes meeting with her red ones.
"Quit yapping, didn't you score a 177 on your exam? Pathetic." He hissed, and Yumie raised an eyebrow, frustration visible on her face. "That is an amazing exam score, Tomura!" Fumiji said, as he tried to lower the tension.
"Damn... I scored a 162 on mine." He explained, as Mocha puffed out her cheeks. "I scored a 155, somehow made it in on a scholarship," Mocha said, and Kyo nodded. "Same here! I got a 158," she said, and Seishi then smiled.
"Didn't you both beat a stronger demon thingy? Guess that's why you made it to the main course then," He informed them both, as they were relieved that they did. Mocha remembered how this entire 'enroll at Azure Academy' thing was to find Kae.
Now... they have made many bonds and friends here, and it would break her heart to leave the school and never see them again. She felt down about it but didn't show it to the others. She instead enjoyed the night with everyone else.
