"And I still don't know his name..."
You and the magicless prefect were calmly walking through the school hallways filled by the chattering students on their way to their next classes.
The dark blonde was sighing while wearing an ironic smile, causing you to chuckle light-heartedly.
"In my defense, he asked me very politely not to mention it..." You said with a casual and, kind of playful, shrug.
What was this about, you may be wondering? Well, it turns out... Malleus actually did join your course, immediately after the Spelldrive Tournament.
For some reason, before the lesson, he had stopped you outside the classroom to ask for this peculiar favor: to not call him by name.
When you questioned the reason why, not hiding your confusion and pointing out how hardly anyone wouldn't recognize him, he simply answered by laughing deeply and saying:
"I do not wish to scare the child of man and their furred companion."
You immediately understood who he was referring to and couldn't help but indulge the future king of Briar Valley.
"I understand he's of high status, given many of the students' reactions and that guy who joined with him..." Yuu grimaced slightly at the memory and you sweatdropped in return.
"Sebek is quite passionate about his duties, we've indeed seen that..." You had a wry smile on your face as you nodded along.
Sebek Zigvolt was a freshman from Diasomnia, one who was actually present at the time of the fight against Leona, back in the Savanaclaw stadium. And speaking of said lion...
"Leona also didn't look at all pleased." The spotted skinned fellow awkwardly scratched their cheek, remembering the look of utter disdain and the grumbling of the green eyed housewarden.
"And to think it was the first time he had actually showed up... thankfully that didn't stop him from doing so after." You sighed with a bit of relief. You could easily remember the reaction from the junior during his first ever appearance at the course.
"Not the lizard."
He had said at the time, not hiding how his eyes narrowed in a glare.
But, fortunately, that hadn't stopped him from coming to class the time after, and you were quite glad of that.
As you and the dark blonde chatted away, the two of you suddenly got interrupted by a pair of loud and familiar voices gradually growing nearer at a fast rate.
"Hold it right there, Grim! You're not gettin' off easy today, you hear me?!" It was Ace, yelling angrily as he ran after the fiery creature, who was cackling without a care in the world.
"Myeh heh heh! Maybe ya shoulda put yer name on it if ya wanted it that bad!" The small monster mocked as he ran backwards, so to flash his cocky expression in the ginger's direction.
"Why, you...!"
"What is it this time?" Yuu sighed in exhaustion as you both turned toward the two, noticing that Deuce was with them as well, following after them with a fed up expression.
"Seriously, don't they ever get tired of this?" The blue haired boy exhaled deeply.
"Hey, Yuu! You're the prefect, so do some prefecting! And Teach'-" The red eyed freshman called out in frustration as the cat-like beast got behind your legs, still laughing at the ginger.
"Do some teaching?" You chuckled and light-heartedly concluded Ace's sentence as you stood calmly between the two troublemakers.
"Urgh... This lousy furball swiped the doughnut I bought and ate it! AGAIN." The Heartslabyul first year complained with a glare, which was obviously directed at the creature.
