"Dang! Now this is a wild man's room!" Grim exclaimed as you, the magicless human and the half lion entered said housewarden's room.

"Quit yer gawkin'." Leona bluntly stated, taking off his leather jacket, gloves and shoes after he sat down on his large bed.

The dorm room had a wall-tall balcony from which you could see the moon high in the sky. The decorations were of manly warmer colors such as red, orange and various browns. Finally, the walls were made of pressed cobblestones and bricks.

"I'm goin' to bed now, and if you disturb my sleep, I'll turn you into shag carpet." The Savanaclaw junior lazily threatened the fiery beast as he stretched his arms and plopped backwards into his mattress.

Yuu sweatdropped and sighed quietly as you two finished to put down some soft duvets with blankets and pillows as handmade beds on the ground.

And just as you sat down...

"Zzz..."

You heard the half lion faintly snoring, already out like a light.

"He passed out in literally three seconds!" Grim said incredulously as he blinked his wide eyes.

"Keep it down, we don't want to wake him." The dual skinned prefect gently scolded, slumping down in exhaustion and pulling their blanket over themselves. The small monster getting carefully pulled along by them too.

As the two students got comfortable, you simply remained seated up in your own space, earning a questioning glance from the dark blonde, who had meanwhile taken off their glasses and let down their hair.

"Are... you okay, Professor?" They hesitantly asked in a small voice, the magical creature already deep in his slumber, against the crook of his prefect's neck.

You shook your head as if waking yourself up and looked down at them before showing a reassuring smile and nodding slightly.

"Yes, dear. It's not necessarily about the situation, I... I just feel like I won't be falling asleep soon." You vaguely explained, feeling a faint weight pressing on your chest.

The magicless human furrowed their brows in worry and you exhaled, softly gripping one of their hands.

"It's fine. You just rest for now, okay?" You whispered gently, causing the dark blonde to give you an unsure expression before ultimately nodding in silence.

As their blue eyes came to a close, your strong front slowly fell. Sighing, your shoulders slumped and your gaze traveled down toward the wooden floor, mindlessly following the small particles that came to life under the moonlight spreading from the balcony.

And just as you felt the frustration about to swell up...

"..."

You blinked out of your daze at the feeling of your hand getting clasped a little tighter. But when looking back, you only saw the young prefect breathing steadily through parted lips, already asleep.

A self pitying smile formed on your features and you slowly laid down beside the two Ramshackle students, on your own blankets and pillows. All while not letting go of the spotted fingers grasping yours.

Yeah... sleep won't be coming
any time soon.

It's so dark...

You've been staring at the ceiling with fatigued eyes for quite a while now, only having the company of Grim's, and sometimes Yuu's, quiet mumbles. But finally, after what felt like an eternity, you had started to feel like you could be succumbing into exhaustion as your brain turned hazy.
