Somewhere between the time you and the trio were chatting and having tea... you had fallen asleep.
Apparently you weren't feeling particularly well, and the others decided to let you continue resting. Jade took it upon himself to pick you up and bring you to the room you'd be sleeping in.
They hadn't let Floyd do it and Azul didn't quite have... the assets to do so as easily.
It was then that you woke up in a clean and soft bed, looking at the clock to notice it was early morning. Thing was, your phone wasn't on the nightstand, nor in your bag.
Thinking that it might have been left in the lounge, you decided to pick yourself up and head there to search for it.
...
You didn't turn on the lights. The ethereal glow of the wall-tall aquarium was enough to illuminate the place just enough for you to see without issues.
For a moment, you just stopped in front of the glass, observing the multitude of small fish and sea plants inhabitants of that wide enclosure. Your shadow casted far behind you, stretching over the smooth floor.
What a fancy palace this is...
Many would find such a large tank to be quite the fancy addition to the restaurant here in the dorm. But that wasn't exactly right...
It wasn't the dorm possessing a tank... it was the fact that the whole structure was actually underwater. That, was the real incredible factor.
You stood there to gaze at the beautiful display, and at the thought that you actually stood right at the bottom of an unknown ocean, you couldn't help but feel somehow scared.
"But I thought the law says that
only a prince can marry a princess.
I'm quite sure..."To think that Rielle is the prince of merely a fraction of the immensely vast sea.
Yet, thanks to all those years of marveling about the ocean, and all the creatures and mers you've gotten to know on the way, it was possible for you to feel something akin to comfort. Almost safety. And in any case, you're sure those three would always come to your aid, in the off chance of something happening.
"Desperate times call for desperate measures, my lord. The princess will marry me."
You couldn't help but chuckle to yourself, remembering all the times the twins and Azul had desperately attempted to help you when you tried to learn how to swim, back when you were younger. The last of the three was constantly terrified of you drowning.
"The princess will marry..."
And while recalling those precious memory, you stepped away from the glowing aquarium and went back to searching the whereabouts of your phone.
"What? What is that? That music!"
You could try to call your number and make it ring, but you'd need another phone. And you don't wish to risk waking the others by entering their rooms and taking theirs. So you'll keep looking for now.
"Step aside for Prince Ali!"
You knew you could have waited for one of the three to wake up, it was almost time anyway... the problem was that you just couldn't stop worrying about Yuu. Something felt bizarre.
