"There you are, Mr. Al-Asim."
You pushed yourself into standing, keeping straight as you confidently walked toward the white haired housewarden.
Said boy, who at first wore an unusual stern glare, blinked as if snapping out of something because of shock, looking at you with wide eyes.
"Professor, you're here! I had asked Yuu to invite you, but- when did it get so late?" The young dorm leader appeared quite surprised, looking outside into the starry, but otherwise, pitch black sky.
"I have come over because your behavior has been reported to me." You stated firmly, hands cupping your elbows as you eyed the now stunned looking sophomore. All the other students shuffled in fearful anxiousness, averting their gazes uncomfortably.
Meanwhile, Jamil beared a serious expression, Yuu was silently, and a bit guiltily, taking in the words being said and Grim was grinning in victory.
"My behavior? Have I done something wrong?" Kalim seemed very taken aback, meeting your gaze in bewilderment.
"Having your dorm peers and other scholars walking through the deserted without regards? Training them for hours on end despite their exhaustion and need for rest?" Your expression spelled out your discontentment as your voice got sharp but still not fully accusatory.
"I've been told your emotions have been all over the place ever since the placement of your dorm has been revealed, after the recent exams. Is that the case?" You exhaled, your gaze turning just a tad more relaxed once asking for confirmation.
"Have my decisions been creating discomfort between my peers? I didn't know..." The young man genuinely looked remorseful and his voice sounded somehow... vague.
"Jamil said stress has been getting to me lately... but I didn't think it'd reach this point! I guess I really have been hard on all of them." The white haired boy furrowed his brows deeply, eyes skimming over the floor as his hand rested on top of his chest.
"I'm so sorry, guys! I never had bad intentions!" He earnestly apologized to the group or students sitting around the lounge. Some of them looked a bit relieved, while many others appeared skeptical. Of course, barely audible whispers began rising.
"He immediately became meek with the professor..."
"At least he's back to his kind self?"
"I bet the moment that teach' walks off, he'll be back to acting all tyrannical."
"He genuinely looks sorry, though..."
"This back and forth is driving me insane...!"
Your brows soothed the wrinkles that had formed between them as your expression took on a more pensive nuance.
"It would be wise to talk with the school counselor, if these things are effecting you to this extent." You suggested in a much mellower tone, unfolding your arms as you felt a new presence beside you.
"There's definitely something wrong, this has never happened during the course..." You murmured to yourself.
"I'm desolate that we've reached this dreadful point, despite my supervision. I'll try my best to maintain order from now on." Jamil brought a palm to his heart as he spoke humbly.
"I'm sure you've been trying to keep things under better control, I wouldn't dump any overwhelming responsibility upon you and be done with it." You spoke calmly to the long haired second year, who gave a faint, grateful smile.
"If only Crowley would take a page from the professor's book..." The poor, magicless fellow couldn't help but let a resigned mumble slip from their lips, the fiery creature on their lap nodding in agreement. "Ya can say that again."
