The length of these chapters changes around a lot. Mainly because I try to avoid writing pointless scenes.

Morro wasn't always like that. He used to be a sweet kid. He was like an angel when (y/n) first met him.

No one was allowed inside the monastery if they weren't a student. And in the evening, when the other kids went home, (y/n) was quite lonely.

He would study with Wu, his Sensei and adoptive father, in the morning, train with the other kids during the day, and then do whatever he could to pass the time in the evening. But it got boring very fast, but he couldn't go out to play either since it was late.

It was one of those usual boring evenings, when Wu was taking out the trash, and while (y/n) was trying his best to solve a jigsaw puzzle on the porch, that Wu noticed something.

A young boy, digging through the waste food, scrawny and tired-looking, nothing but fear shown in his eyes once he got caught. (y/n) had rushed to look, he was not older than the boy, maybe even younger. It was just... like faith. Maybe he wouldn't be alone anymore.

And indeed, Wu took the boy in. He had adopted (y/n) from a nearby orphanage when (y/n) was no older than two, and had taken care of him ever since. But he knew (y/n) was lonely, so he saw this as the right thing to do, from all aspects.

And it proved to be more than just faith. It was like the First Spinjitzu Masters will. (y/n) found a friend, Morro got a home, and soon after, Wu found out the little boy was the elemental master of wind. And maybe... he would also be the Green Ninja.

(y/n) was Wu's son, but he was not an elemental master, and definitely not a Spinjitzu Master either. He was not even half as good as Morro, he was barely even on every other students level.

For that reason, Morro always went easy on him. Even if he was the strongest student there, and would beat everyone who challenged him, faster than wind, the only one he slowed down for was (y/n).

In (y/n)'s head he was kind, a hero who was both thoughtful and serious, warm and cold. Even if he would always lose, Morro still sparred with him, and never mocked him for being weaker than most.

Wu started training Morro more intensely, and gave (y/n) the freedom to do what he wanted, even if that was to stop training all together. With the Green Ninja here, no one else really mattered, did they?

(y/n) thought so too. He still trained, gave it his all, but drew back when Morro was training alone. He didn't want to be a bother. Even if the lack of training would only slow down the process of getting stronger, he didn't care.

But Morro was in a hurry. He wanted to become the green ninja as soon as possible.

"Get up! Get, up!" Morro would act almost commanding towards the other kids, even when they couldn't get up anymore because of the pain.

"Enough." Only Wu's words could make him stop, but that was only because Wu was his caretaker, and he had no other choice.

"But Sensei, if I'm gonna be the Green Ninja. I need greater tests." (y/n) would watch from behind the other kids, since he couldn't possibly intervene or choose sides in a situation like that.

"I said, enough!" Wu turned Morro down, as the young boy clenched his fists and ran inside, to his room.

Since the lesson was over, (y/n) decided to follow. He peeked into Morro's room, but was too scared to actually enter. It was even windier inside the room than outside, and Morro stormed around with a glare that could probably kill.

(y/n) was usually scared of Morro during moments like these, but the boy knew he didn't need to be. Morro wouldn't hurt him. It still took him a bit to gather the courage to finally knock on the sliding door.
