Soul Archer and Bansha were visibly struggling to read the map. If they hadn't been ghosts, they would have already been sweating bullets. After all, Morro had threatened to throw them overboard in case they got lost.
Well, (y/n) could almost swear they were lost already, but he trusted that the two ghosts would find the correct route eventually.
Morro seemed to have also realized the two other ghosts' little mistake, and stomped over, his purposefully heavy footsteps alarming the two ghosts immediately.
"I already told you, if we're lost-" But Morro was cut off by nervous Soul Archer.
"No, no! We aren't lost! We're almost there, actually." Soul Archer's quick lie received a glare from Morro and a side-eye glance from Bansha, who was better at keeping her cool, even under Morro's glare.
"I assure you, we haven't gone off route," Bansha spoke. "Just give us a moment."
Bansha looked like she wanted to murder Soul Archer, but was holding back solely because she wasn't the boss around here. (y/n) wondered what it would be like if she was in a higher position than Morro. Never mind, (y/n) didn't want to think about the impossible.
Morro scoffed lightly and turned away from the two, instead letting his eyes land on (y/n), who was sitting at the bow of the ship, partially leaning over the boat's edge, towards the dark blue water.
(y/n) soaked his fingers in the water, making small waves as he stared absentmindedly at it. A small fish that definitely didn't know any better swam up to his hand, swimming next to it before cautiously nipping at (y/n)'s pinkie finger.
(y/n) didn't feel it at all. He didn't feel the pull on the water, nor did he notice how courageous the fish biting on his finger had gotten, even as the little rascal had already pierced his skin, leaving a bloody trail of blood to mix into the water.
I swear all animals hated him, even Zane's falcon did... Even though that didn't make much sense, considering the fact that the falcon was just a robot.
Morro walked over to him, opening his mouth to say something before suddenly stopping. Morro's eyes traveled to the hand under water, and then the trail of blood.
Morro's eyes narrowed, and before (y/n) could even turn to look at Morro, the ghost reached out and grabbed his hand by the part that wasn't underwater.
Morro yanked the hand up, splattering some water on himself and (y/n), but not enough to do any harm.
Morro just glared angrily, not saying anything as (y/n) stared at him. (y/n) wasn't sure how tightly Morro was holding him, but he assumed it must have been pretty tight, as usual.
After a few more seconds of glaring, Morro let out a sigh.
"What the hell?" He muttered, glancing at the waters, where the blood had already washed away.
(y/n) blinked in confusion before noticing the wound on his finger. Quickly (y/n) pulled his hand away, wiping the wound on his clothes and hastily placing a band-aid on it.
"I didn't notice it..." (y/n) muttered to himself while Morro stared him down angrily.
"What do you mean you didn't notice it? You're bleeding!"
"I honestly didn't notice it!" (y/n) spoke back to Morro, trying to convince the ghost, but to no avail. The ghost looked less angry, more concerned. Morro suddenly reached a hand out and poked (y/n) on the forehead.
"Well, did you notice that?" (y/n) didn't react, "(y/n)! Hey..."
Slowly, Morro's face became stranger and stranger, he was standing on a line of confusion, but he was about to fall off.
"You really can't feel it? When did that happen?"
"It just happens, sometimes... It's a side effect."
"Side effect of what?"(y/n) took in a deep breath, and began to explain. Starting from the moment (y/n) drunk Heaven's Door Tea. He explained the tea was what had kept him young for so long, and how sometimes his senses bugged out because of it.
"Tch... And you didn't even mention this before?" Morro questioned when (y/n)'s explanation was over.
"I didn't want to be a bother." (y/n) admitted. "Besides, Bansha doesn't seem to like me. I don't want to give her any ideas."
As he spoke, both he and Morro glanced at the two ghosts. Thankfully they were absorbed in a heated argument.
"Whatever." Morro let out in a sigh, when suddenly Bansha yelled out.
"Found it!!" Morro stomped over to the two ghosts immediately while (y/n) scrambled up and followed after him.
Bansha stood at the edge of the ship, gripping the tattered map in one hand while pointing at the water with the other. "The entrance is right here. That rock! It's inside that one!"
Morro narrowed his eyes as Soul Archer spoke, looking uncertain. "Are you sure?"
"Of course, I'm sure!" Bansha snapped at him, rolling up the map with a huff. "The Tomb of the First Spinjitzu Master is hidden beneath the waves. The only way in is through an underwater cavern, right here."
"You mean the only entrance for a human?" (y/n) questioned with a smirk. Without answering, Morro and the two ghosts joined in.
"You three stay on the boat, but keep moving around in case the ninja find us." Morro commanded, before Soul Archer spoke again.
"Why bother? They don't have the map, they won't know we're here."
"Ronin knows. Once the ninja find him, it's only a matter of time." Morro stated as Soul Archer nodded.
Bansha sighed dramatically, but after a moment, she muttered a few belittling words about Soul Archer under her breath, before suddenly tossing the map to (y/n).
"Well, I will be at the wheel, Soul Archer can keep watch with a spyglass. You..." as Bansha was about to say something to (y/n), Morro shot her a glare. Quickly Bansha's attitude changed. "...Do whatever you want."
Morro floated over to the rock, giving one last concerned glance at (y/n), who gave him 'goodbye' wave. At last Morro phased through the rock and disappeared, leaving the two ghosts and the human alone on the boat.
Five minutes passed, then ten, but everything seemed calm enough. Except for the fact that the Bounty was in sight. Soul Archer and Bansha had already come up with some type of plan.
"...Then you get them, got it?" (y/n) heard the very last bit of Bansha's command as he was fiddling with the map.
"Got it. But what about him? If we mess this up and he gets involved, Morro..." Soul Archer probably tried to be quieter than he was.
Bansha turned to (y/n) with that annoyed face of hers again, and (y/n) stared back at her with an equally displeased look.
"Well, what do you want to do, prince? I know you heard us." Bansha let out.
"I'm not interested in taking down the Bounty. I'll rest under the deck." (y/n) said, squeezing the map a little too tight when he heard Bansha's new nickname for him, before (y/n) waltzed under the deck.
(y/n) descended the creaky steps into the dimly lit underdeck, releasing a long sigh as he leaned against a wooden post. The boat rocked gently beneath his feet, the muffled voices of Bansha and Soul Archer fading as he distanced himself from their scheming. And even if something went wrong, at least (y/n) would get a reason to tell Morro an exaggerated tell about how badly Bansha had messed up.
"Prince." He rolled his eyes, shaking his head. He wasn't even sure if she meant it as an insult or if she just liked to be insufferable. Settling down on an old crate, (y/n) dropped his head onto his hands.
Prince. As if (y/n) would ever be some spoiled royal scum like that! (y/n) was annoyed his and Morro's behavior had seemed like that. His and Morro's... So, he was Morro's prince.
Suddenly (y/n) didn't feel angry anymore.
