"Hmm... Are you sure about this, uncle? I already told him the condition, and he could get hurt." Lloyd scowled at the idea. (y/n) looked at Garmadon like he was actually worried for Lloyd. As if!
"I trust you, (y/n). Besides, Lloyd is stronger than you think." Garmadon stated as Lloyd cast a glance (y/n)'s way as if saying: 'That's right.' (y/n) didn't seem that convinced though.
"Hmm. Whatever you say, uncle!" He still ended up saying as he walked past Lloyd and Garmadon, a few meters away before stopping in place and turning around.
He turned his foot slightly and raised his hands up, taking a fighting stance before calling back to the two.
"Ready when you are, green ninja."
Lloyd didn't answer him, instead took a similar pose, before gathering energy into his palms. But before he was done, Garmadon placed a hand on his shoulder and stopped him.
"Don't use your powers son, let's keep this fair." Lloyd took in his advice, and shook away the energy from his hands.
"You too (y/n), keep things fair." Said Jay, who was sitting on a rock and watching, head in his palms. Kai leaned against the same rock, his arms crossed.
Kai wasn't in the mood to spar, and Jay wasn't in the right condition to, so it had come down to Garmadon and (y/n) to help Lloyd train before then next fight would begin. And Garmadon had said that it was good to have to face someone Lloyd had never fought against, someone Lloyd knew nothing about. That's how (y/n) was chosen.
Lloyd took in a deep breath, and charged straight at (y/n). (y/n) kept the same fighting stance until Lloyd finally got close enough, and threw a punch his way. (y/n) swiftly grabbed onto Lloyd's hand, and threw the boy over his shoulder.
"Ugh!"Lloyd let out as (y/n) threw him right against the ground, before the boy dusted off his hands and wiped them against is clothes, like touching Lloyd had dirtied him somehow.
"Auch." Jay meanwhile let out as Lloyd slowly got up.
"Sparring (y/n), sparring. It is meant to strengthen you both, not wear you down." Garmadon advised as (y/n) let out a reluctant sigh.
"Fine." He ended up saying, before backing a few steps away from Lloyd, and letting him get back up.
This time, when Lloyd charged at him again, (y/n) only dodged and blocked, slipping in a few purposefully painful jabs at Lloyd every now and then.
"So... I thought you said you weren't a ninja." Lloyd spoke, slightly out of breath.
"80 years of living is a good replacement." (y/n) however didn't seem to even be slightly worn out.
"You also said you got beat up a lot." Lloyd added as (y/n) let out a scoff.
"I did. It took me some time to gain the energy to fight back. Hmm, can't remember exactly how long though." (y/n) explained before he suddenly kicked the back of Lloyd's legs, and knocking the green ninja down.
"But once I did, they got back what they did to me tenfold." (y/n) smiled as he spoke again, and waited for Lloyd to get back up.
"Do you still... do that?" Lloyd asked as he jumped back up, and threw a punch (y/n)'s way.
"Nowadays? Hell, no. I have a proper job and a nice apartment in Ninjago City now, I don't have time for that kind of behavior." (y/n) answered as he caught Lloyd's hand, before pushing him away. Afterwards, he wiped his hand on his clothes like it had been tainted somehow.
"Yeah, you're a psychologist right? But does that even pay well?" Lloyd asked another question as (y/n) scoffed again.
"How rude! Don't you know you shouldn't ask what someones pay is? I guess you still are just a kid."
"Sorry, I was just curious! ...And I'm still not a kid." Lloyd added at the end with a slightly annoyed expression as (y/n)'s face turned again into an amused smile, before he let out a laugh.
"Yeah, sure sure. Anyways, I'm tired!" (y/n) suddenly dropped his fighting stance, and walked away as Lloyd called after him.
"What about my training?!"
"Train with uncle then! I'm going back to Kai's room." (y/n) called back as Kai turned his head to him.
"My room?" Kai tilted his head in confusion as (y/n) turned to walk backwards, taking his folding fan and fanning himself gently.
"You heard me. I'm just going to take a nap. I'll see you once the next match is over!" He called out once more, before disappearing into Chen's temple.
"So, Sensei Garmadon..." Jay started once the boy was out of sight.
"You've met him before. When he was training under Wu, right?" The lightning ninja asked as Garmadon gave him a nod.
"Yes. A few times. He was still quite young back then." Garmadon stated before Lloyd joined the conversation.
"Was he always like that?" He asked, but this time Garmadon lowered his head down to think, before finally answering after a moment of silence.
"No. He looks the same... but he's a completely different person."
