(y/n) wasn't even sure why he was even here. After the reunion with his father and the failed attempt to find a spell to get Morro out of the departed realm, he was supposed to go back to his boring life style. Yet here he was, helping Misako run the small little tea shop business in the country side.
No, (y/n) didn't get anything out of it, not money, not information, nothing at all. It actually only gave him a foul mood, having to face Lloyd every single day and all that.
(y/n) had been thinking of his past, mainly the way he had spent his lonely days, so this was at least a way to get his mind off of those thoughts.
The more (y/n) thought about it, the more (y/n) regretted things he had done, but the only thing that hadn't changed was this one single thought:
'I miss Morro'.
The ninja had just returned from some mission, and laughed in high spirits as they landed in front of the shop on their elemental dragons.
Wu was quick to inform them of a new job, a different kind of job, although that in turn made all of the ninjas prior excitement dissipate into thin air like it was never there.
Something about passing out fliers and promotion the shop, without elemental powers. Wow, that must be so hard to do.
Meanwhile the tea shop's phone started ringing, and Misako swiftly picked it up, quickly motioning for Nya and (y/n) to be quiet in case it was a customer.
"Steep Wisdom, how may we serve you?" It didn't take long for (y/n) to get curious though, for Misako's happy tone dropped, and she sounded more concerned every second that passed.
"Yes, I see... and you need him right away?" (y/n) tried to listen in on what the person on the other side of the phone was saying, but the ninja were making too much noise outside and distracting him.
"Thank you. I'll let him know right away." (y/n) scoffed lightly as Misako put the phone down, (y/n) hadn't managed to catch a single things thanks to the immense complaining of the ninja.
"Is it a big order?" Nya asked as Misako shook her head.
"It's the police. They've asked for Lloyd. There's been a break-in at the museum." The ninja and Nya gasped, Wu stroked his beard, and (y/n) didn't react what so ever. Just a break-in? (y/n) thought it'd be something worse.
Lloyd look around with an uncertain expression, before Cole grabbed the pile of papers from him.
"Go on, I'll take your share." The black ninja reassured him as Lloyd's worried expression faded away and turned into a smile.
"Thanks. I owe you one." Lloyd thanked him, before rushing to change back into his normal ninja qi. When he was done and about to leave, Misako called after him.
"Aren't you going to kiss your mother goodbye?" Lloyd stopped dead in his tracks as the rest of the team all smiled mischievously.
"Mom, we've...we've talked about this. I'll catch you on the way back." Was the green ninjas answer before he rushed out and flew away on his dragon.
The others broke down laughing before Wu reminded them of the unfortunate fact of:
"Remember, no powers." After Wu chased the now very displeased ninja away, he turned to (y/n) and Misako.
"Now, we wait."
And wait they did. They had to wait for quite a while before anything happened, before anyone showed up. But much to (y/n)'s surprise, a mother-daughter duo showed up to the door of Steep Wisdom.
Not even looking for the ninja, they were actually here to buy tea! (y/n) had fully expected the business to flop, and had prepared to give a call or two to Gale Gossip to get some better publicity, but it seems like Steep Wisdom was doing fine even without (y/n)'s endless string of connections.
