The first morning in the Tournament. It was good luck that had brought the whole team all the way here. And although Garmadon was denied his serving of creamy biscuits, at least he was allowed to be there at all.

"Well, I know what we are being served. A whole bunch of baloney. This isn't a fighting tournament. It's an alibi for Chen to steal everyone's powers. But we still don't know why." Lloyd wondered out loud as he and Kai moved to get their share of biscuits.

"Isn't it obvious? Chen wants to destroy New Ninjago City. I don't know what it is, but that place has had a string of bad luck." Kai spoke before the two followed after Garmadon.

"I'm not so sure. From what Sensei G's told us about him, I have a feeling it's something far more sinister." Cole said as he and Jay followed the other two's actions.

"And may I remind us, we still don't know where Zane is, which is why we all need to take care of our first rounds to give us more time," Jay added on as Cole seemed to notice Jay's outfit for the first time. The outfit being just his pjs and an eye mask. "Don't look at me. I've already moved on."

"Your opponent got himself kicked out." Cole stated with an annoyed expression on his face.

"Hehe, either way, it's my day off," Jay just shrugged before turning to the Anacondrai cultist serving them their breakfast. "Extra creamy biscuits. And don't skimp."

"Taking a day off? And here I thought ninja never quit." Cole scoffed once he and Jay were already out of the line. Hearing Cole's words, Jay quickly caught up to him with an offended glare.

"And I used to think a ninja wouldn't steal your girlfriend." Jay quickly shot back at him before Lloyd, Kai and Garmadon approached them as Garmadon spoke up.

"Whatever you have to say to each other, say it now, because harboring grudges hurts no one but yourselves."

"I know you're the Sensei here, but I do have to disagree, uncle." A sudden voice spoke up with a confident tone. Jay and Cole turned left while the other three in front of them turned towards the right, where (y/n) was sitting at  table alone.

His head was slightly tilted in the direction of the ninja and Garmadon, but he wasn't really looking at them.

"Look's like we found a place to sit." Kai spoke before the others could, as Lloyd frowned. He wasn't exactly fond of the idea of sitting with (y/n), but eventually he just sighed and sat down opposite of the boy.

(y/n) moved to sit closer to the wall as Jay and Cole sat next to him, Lloyd doing the same as Garmadon and Kai sat down with him. The group started chatting as they ate.

"You disagree? Then tell me (y/n), what should they do instead?" They being of course Cole and Jay. (y/n)'s eyes were hazily staring at Lloyd's tray as he answered Garmadon.

"Anger is a tougher emotion than you think, uncle. If these two were to fully embrace their anger, someone might actually get hurt." (y/n) explained quite leisurely. Lloyd was about to open his mouth to question (y/n) on the matter, but (y/n) was already one step ahead of him.

"I work as a psychologist. Mainly for kids and teens." Jay let out a sound of realization before adding a "That explains it." at the very end.

"You're a psychologist? Wouldn't have guessed that." Garmadon said, sounding a tad bit impressed. Lloyd wanted to know how well these two knew each other. His dad and this boy.

"I've tried a lot of things. I've also studied a lot of different things, so I have a lot of options." (y/n) explained a bit once again, showing a simple smile. To Lloyd it seemed like he was just bragging.

"Right, 80 something years of living and all that... how does that work in the first place?" Cole joined in as (y/n) rested his chin in his hands.

"Magic. I can't age, and I hardly get sick either, perfect combo. Although it comes with a few annoying side effects." (y/n) leisurely explained as Kai raised an eyebrow.

"Side effects? Like what?"

"I'll tell you," (y/n)'s smile widened just a bit. "But first, does anyone have any food to share?" Lloyd wanted to scoff. If he wanted food, he could have just gotten some himself like the rest of them. But no, (y/n) didn't even have a tray.

The group looked between each other for a while, before Jay spoke up.

"Uh, would you like a biscuit?" He said, waving one of his biscuits in his hand. (y/n) didn't even look directly at Jay, but just smiled and and extended and arm towards him.

Jay placed the biscuits on it, and (y/n) munched it down swiftly.

"Thank you," (y/n) thanked Jay, before continuing on the prior topic of conversation. "The stuff that made me immortal was a special tea, the owner of the shop called it Heavens Door Tea."

Everyone started listening intently, even Lloyd did. None of them, except maybe Garmadon, had heard of this magic tea before, so of course it caught their attention.

"It has only one flaw: it numbs the senses. Basically it shuts down a part of my body every few days, lasting from a day to five at most."

"Like right now, I can't see a thing." Immediately Lloyd perked up. (y/n)'s 'gaze' was still intently on his plate of food. But the boy couldn't actually see whose tray was in front of him, much less what was on it.

"But sometimes, when I'm unlucky, my whole body can shut down multiple, or sometimes all of my senses all at the same time. And I can never do a thing about it."

The team wasn't quite sure how to react to that. Well, the ninja weren't, Garmadon was still cool headed as a Sensei should be.

"The cost of miracles is high indeed."
