So the mission had gone great. The team now knew Chen's plan was to steal the elements of those who lost. But they also knew Chen already had the element of ice, so Zane was, without a doubt, also in the island.

But after getting chased by a giant serpent, the team had agreed to split up and go back to their own rooms.

Lloyd jumped to the balcony connected to his room with light steps. But he didn't go inside. He wasn't  really tired, so he wouldn't go to sleep just yet.

Instead he leaned on the balcony railing, and just stared at the sea. The sea they had passed over to get to this island. It was like a wall keeping them all trapped on the island. And although it's small waves were calming to watch, especially as the moonlight reflected on it, it wasn't really a great sight.

There were some Anacondrai cultists wandering around the yard, but they either didn't notice Lloyd from all the way down there, or they just didn't care. But they did care about something else.

"Get down from there!" One of two Anacondrai cultists shouted at someone as Lloyd perked up.

The boy sitting in the tree didn't give the Anacondrai cultist an answer however, and just fanned his face slowly. His eyes showed no interest at all in the words of the cultist, rather, he seemed very much annoyed at being bothered.

"If you don't, we'll tell Clouse!" The second Anacondrai cultist said, as Lloyd stopped leaning on the balcony railing. The small movement must have made (y/n) finally noticed him, even though they were very far apart from each other. Lloyd guessed he must have very keen senses or something like that.

And although he noticed Lloyd, he didn't really light up in relief, or even smile for that matter. He had a still face, probably meant to hide the real emotion he felt when he saw Lloyd.

"Fine, I'm going." Lloyd barely heard (y/n) say, since unlike the Anacondrai cultists, he wasn't shouting. Lloyd watched as the boy dropped down from the tree, most likely intentionally stepping on the first Anacondrai cultists foot in the process.

The boy walked away as the first Anacondrai cultists flailed around in pain as the other one tried to figure out what was wrong, he hadn't seen exactly what happened to his friend.

Lloyd thought that maybe (y/n) was going to come talk to him, since (y/n) had left once he had spotted Lloyd and all. But (y/n) just walked away from the yard, disappearing from Lloyd's sights in a matter of seconds.

The green ninja sighed, what was he thinking. But did Lloyd care? (y/n) was everything but mean to him, and no one else, so of course (y/n) wouldn't come talk to him. And did Lloyd care? No, definitely not! ...Maybe it bothered him a bit, but just a tiny bit!

That's when Lloyd noticed something. He didn't see anything, but he did hear it. The sound of someone tapping wood.

Lloyd didn't need to be the Master of Sound to hear it. Although the sound was very quiet, the whole place was silent compared to it.

Lloyd didn't move an inch as he listened out to where the sound came from. It came from close by, somewhere right... behind him.

Lloyd quickly whipped around in alarm, and came face to face with (y/n), who was tapping the balcony railing with his folding fan.

"Took you long enough." So apparently (y/n) had been doing it on purpose to get Lloyd's attention.

"I thought you left." Lloyd let out as (y/n) gave him a smile. A smile that was hard to read.

"You were wrong." He simply said as he moved to instead stand next to Lloyd, but still keeping a bit of distance between the two of them.

"Whatever," Lloyd tried his best to hide his annoyance. "What were you doing in that tree anyway?" Lloyd asked as (y/n) spoke upon from behind his folding fan.

"Resting, what else? All humans need rest. Speaking of rest, kids like you should be asleep by now." He suddenly changed the subject with a hint of mocking playfulness in his voice.

"I'm not some kid!" Lloyd tried to convince the (e/c) eyed boy, but all he gave Lloyd was a nod and a sarcastic: "Sure you aren't, sure you aren't."

Lloyd didn't know how to feel. This person, Wu's adopted son he had never even heard about had appeared out of thin air without explanation. And he was quite the colorful character too.

"So, are you a ninja too?" Lloyd decided to ask him.

"Well, I trained to be one, but I never received the title." Lloyd had received his title long before he started training. He was rescued from an erupting volcano, and right after he was declared to be the green ninja by the golden weapons.

"I'm sure Wu would have given you one, you're pretty talented." Lloyd hated to admit it, but it was true.

"Pretty talented? Oh, you haven't seen anything yet! If only you had seen M-" Suddenly (y/n) stopped, face turning pale in less than a second.

"...If you had seen me a few years ago! I was in peak condition back then." (y/n) suddenly returned back to normal as Lloyd decided to ignore the pause.

"Sensei Wu has never spoken of you before, or any other students for that matter. Has he had any other students before?" Lloyd instead asked, as a (y/n)'s face paled the same way it did only a moment ago. But he didn't even seem to notice it himself.

"Is that really important? He has new students now, and even the green ninja as his nephew! What good would reminiscing about past students do?" The words 'green ninja' were spoken with clear malice in them.

Lloyd was confused. (y/n) was nice from time to time, but every chance he got, he took to make fun of Lloyd or cast him aside. It really bothered Lloyd, although he hated to admit it.

"Why do you hate me so much?" Lloyd finally decided to ask, having thought about it for long enough.

"Hate you? When have I ever said I hated you?" (y/n) acted like he had no idea what Lloyd was talking about, smiling at Lloyd as he put away his folding fan.

"Don't play dumb! What have I ever done to you?!" Lloyd was seriously mad at him now. (y/n) was friendly with the other ninja, even Lloyd's father, but not Lloyd himself? Lloyd couldn't help but feel angry.

(y/n)'s smile dropped, and he turned to face the scenery instead of Lloyd. The leafs of the trees swaying in the wind, the tall mountains all around the island hiding the sights behind them, and even the Anacondrai cultists patrolling around the yard seemed to be much more interesting suddenly, as if this was the first and last time he could see them.

But he was only lost in thought for a moment, before he spoke up. But he still didn't fully face Lloyd.

"It isn't Lloyd Garmadon I hate. It's the green ninja." The answer gave Lloyd more questions than actual answers.

"I don't understand." Lloyd didn't care about hiding his confusion though.

(y/n) let out a sigh: "No matter, it's none of your business," He suddenly jumped onto the balcony railing, before finally facing Lloyd again.

"Just know this: I can't have anything to do with the supposed 'green ninja'. So if we're ever to fight against each other, I'm not holding back." Then he jumped down. In the few seconds Lloyd took to think through his words, (y/n) had disappeared once again.

"I can't have anything to do with the supposed 'green ninja'." The words seemed to hold a lot more than it seemed like. Like each word was a hint to what was going on... Lloyd could only wonder.
