I'm thinking about Alex right now as I'm in the shower because he was the first thing that came to my mind when I woke up. It is Alex's birthday today. Happy occasion! I can't wait to meet him and hand him the card that I designed just for him... I'm feeling a little anxious because I ignored him for over a week, despite the fact that he made numerous attempts to communicate with me. But I really hope he gets the reason behind why I did that. As I continue to style my hair, my thoughts have returned to Alex. I quickly grab the card and put it away in one of my bags. Because I don't want to be late, I'm going to quickly grab some bread toast and then leave my house. Honestly, it's not about being late, I just really want to see Alex.

As I gracefully move through the entrance of the school, my eyes eagerly scan the bustling sea of students, searching for a familiar face. Like a radiant signal of friendship, there stands Alex, their presence instantly attracting my attention and filling my heart with joy. As I find myself in the middle of an appealing moment, my eyes are compellingly drawn to him, like a butterfly drawn to a fire. I stand there, my body frozen in time, as if caught in a mesmerizing spell. Oh, my goodness! I simply cannot contain my excitement when I lay my eyes upon him. His perfect sense of style, from head to toe, leaves me in awe.

Someone gave me a poke in the side, and that brought me back to earth. it's Lily... She first glances at me, then at Alex, and then she makes the same motion twice more before asking me, "Why are you staring at him like that? If you are in that much of a bind, you should just talk to him" she says, I just frown and sigh. As we head to class together, she puts her arm around my shoulder and walks beside me. I am completely silent and just stare at the floor in front of me. The only response I get from Lily is a blank stare followed by the phrase "hopeless romantic." When I gaze at her, I make myself appear even more miserable.

"Man, man, come on. You went to the trouble of making a card for him, but you aren't even prepared to talk to him yet. Come on, just go over there and talk to him,"

she encourages. I simply glance at her and mutter the word "sure" to myself. When we both enter our classroom, we see Liam and Shane standing in the middle of the room conversing with one another. I give Shane a friendly smile, wave to Liam, and then turn my attention to Lily. I can tell that she is absolutely red in the face. Liam makes his way over to us and asks, "Hey, Sar, do you mind if I steal Lily?"

I give a nasty grin and reply, "I most certainly don't mind, she is completely yours."

Lily remains silent and continues to converse with Liam as she moves away from the discussion. I wonder what that is about. I approach Shane with a grin on my face. I react with, "Long time, no see."

"I just needed a break from school; how are you?" He inquires.

"I'm doing... just fine"

. . . .

Lily and I are going to the school grounds because we have a free period, and she wanted to cheer me up because I've been acting gloomy because I still haven't spoken to Alex. We look for a space to sit and then turn to face one another once we've found it. We basically ramble on discussing unrelated topics related to education, and then all of a sudden, she gasps while pointing at something behind me. When I turned back, I saw Alex, Jake, and Shane, along with a number of other students from their class, moving towards where Lily and I were seated. I can't help but sigh as I look at her while simultaneously squinting my eyes, taking a deep breath, and clenching my jaw. The conversation continues with Lily saying, "Girl, your opportunity to talk to him is right now. He is on his way of coming right up behind you! "

"I know..." I respond while frowning once more.

She adds, "if you're not going to do it, then i will," and she leaps up and walks towards him as I gaze at her. She gives him a friendly smile and exclaims, "Happy birthday!" before shaking hands with him, and the two of them continue to do so while they converse about something that I cannot hear. But to tell you the truth, my blood is heating more from watching them continue to hold hands than it is from being curious about what they are talking about. MY CLOSEST ACQUAINTANCE IS Lily. and she is holding MY GUYS HANDS. In a conventional way, he's not my guy. But now I'm really angry. When she returns, I'm going to put an end to her life. I simply turn my head away from them and stop staring at them. Then, I sit down with my hands folded and an angry expression on my face, turning my back on them. Right at that moment, Shane goes past me, looks back at me, and raises both of his eyebrows in a questioning manner, asking what's wrong with me. I just put on a frown and shake my head at the situation. He only nods and then follows his friend.
