The Boy in the Blizzard

After we took flight we got caught in a blizzard. The storm was rough and we could hardly see anything through the falling snow.

"Aang we should turn back. The storms to much for Appa to fly in" Katara says.

"We're to far out at this point we need to land and find a shelter" Sokka yells out.

"Okay, Appa let's land boy" Aang says. He tosses the reigns on Appa as Appa looks to land.

The sky was gry and dark and all that they could see were snow flurries everywhere. Then a bright blue flash appeared in the sky. Katara squinted her eyes as she looked closely from the edge of Appas saddle. A dark black object fell from the air into the snow.

"Did you you guys see that. Something fell over there" Katara says pointing up ahead.

"Yeah, something fell alright. Wonder what it could be" Sokka says.

"Let's find out" Aang replies as they land next to the object. They get off Appa and walk up to the figure to see it was a human. A human boy weirdly dressed in an outfit of black and gold. He layed there unconscious as they wind blew. They boy then glows as all of a sudden Aang glows as well. The glow from the boy dissapears as does Aang's glowing. Aang shakes his head as he states "That was weird." Katara bends down and takes her right glove off. She feels for a pulse on the neck and sighs in relief that there was one. She stands back up saying "He has a pulse, but he looks unconscious."

"Well with the height he fell I'm surprised he's even alive. Where did he come from anyway" Sokka asks.

"We don't have time. We need to get out this snow storm now or we'll all freeze to death" Katara says.

Aang squints as he looks around. He spots a glacier with a big cave opening in it.

"There, we can take shelter in that cave. C'mon let's go" Aang says as he walks ahead. Katara and Sokka carry the boy to the cave with them as Appa follows. They get inside where they lower the boy on the ground. They all have a seat inside and Appa lays down on the ground. They huddle up as they had nothing to make a fire.

Sokka runs out to try and find some wood. After a few minutes he comes back with some firewood and builds a campfire. With some help from Aang they get the fire going and fall asleep.

The next morning the sun rose as sunlight peared into the cave. A pair of eyes slowly open as everything goes from black to looking up at a ceiling of rock. The boy sits up to see a giant furry creature sleeping next to him. He feels his face to see his mask was off and a bandage around his forehead. He looks to see his upper half was exposed as he only had on his pants to his suit.

To his surprise a girl walks up at the cave opening. The boy looks to see she was pretty with a blue jacket and hair loops. She slowly approaches saying "Are you okay? We found you last night. You were unconscious out in a storm so we brought you in with us."

"Who are you" the boy asks.

"I'm Katara. What's yours?"

"Nigel. Where's the rest of my outfit?"

"I took it off to tend to your wounds. You had a lot of bruises, which are miraculously gone" Katara says surprised as she sees all of Nigel's bruises were healed. She unwraps a bandage from his head to see there was no bruises nor blood on his head no more.

"Do you remember what happened to you last night" Katara asks.

"I remember, I was trying to find a portal. Next thing I know I'm falling in the air and fell into some snow and then... then I... I don't remember. I must've blacked out after that. How long was I out for?"
