"Now listen. To. Me."

She wasn't listening. He grabbed her arm.

"Oliva-Valentine, you f^cking listen to me." Her father hissed. His nails tightened around the three-year-old's wrist.

The Bat looked up at him. "If you say anything about what happened, you will end up right with her." He whispered, pointing ahead of the two.

She stared down the grave. Her hands were shaking.

"So, what are you going to say?" He asked. She didn't respond. He shook her a bit, making her jump. "Well?"

"Why did you do that...?" She whispered, pointing at the grave. "Mama was just trying to leave."

His nails dug into her wrist tighter. "I don't need to explain anything to you. Now, are you going to listen to me?"

She was silent.

"Okay..." Her voice broke.

"You won't tell anyone."

"I won't."
