He didn't wait for the cops to come around. He knew what he did.
His nails still had blood on them.
He was just trying to protect himself. He didn't mean to. He felt sick.
It wasn't his fault, he told himself. He hadn't tried attacking or mugging the man. He was just randomly jumped. He didn't understand why.
Manic didn't mean to. But once he had his hands around the man's neck, he didn't let go.
He didn't let go until he was still.
