The glass shard in his hand cut his palm and fingers. He didn't really care though. Pain only lasted a moment, right?

If they were going to make him leave this house - the house his parents once lived in - it would be in a body bag.

He was tired and scared, and he was ready for whatever pain a freak like him deserved in Tartarus. But he couldn't leave.

He stared at the broken mirror for a moment. There were still slices of his reflection that he could still see. He looked pitiful.

Okay, no more stalling or hesitating. He was going to do this. He kept staring at the reflection, holding the shard closer and closer to his neck.

Yet, the reflection resisted.

He kept staring back with the blue eyes that were identical to his mother's. With the sad, scared gaze of a child.

He was the reflection.

And he couldn't.

"No..." He whispered, suddenly dropping the mirror shard. The glass shattered further when it hit the ground.
