CHAPTER 16

The next few weeks appeared to be the busiest Sephora had ever found herself in her entire life as a mom and even career wise.

The media practically followed her down to her gate, they'd be in her bedroom if they were giving the chance.

Her kids ended up getting home schooled because there was no opportunity for anyone to leave the house without the flashes of camera attempting to blind them.

Regardless of all the difficulties, she was thankful for a few things, Cara had gotten so much better that she could now move around on her own, although she didn't talk much, Sephora was just happy that she was moving about on her own.

Secondly, Ivy, Berlin and Cara where finally getting along as sisters should, They would play games, braid each other hairs, sleep in each other's rooms, sometimes they would even sleep with her.

It was in those moments that Sephora would simply thank the heavens because she prayed about a lot of things, watching this one thing come to pass meant that God hadn't left her side.

Yet something kept clawing at her mind, it was something that seemed to be happening a lot between Cara and Berlin.

It was the little moments when Cara would pull Berlin into a hug and would suddenly burst into tears while Berlin would just stand helplessly.

Cara wasn't exactly a very emotional kid, she was the type of person that liked to hide the pain she was feeling which made it all the more strange that she'd express that much emotion towards none other than little Berlin.

"Ma'am?"
Martha suddenly tapped Sephora who turned to focus back on the meeting with her lawyers.

"What do you want ma'am?"
Joel asked Sephora who stared at the play ground where her kids where playing.

Whatever choices she made next would determine the way her kids would grow, will they be okay without the presence of a monster such as Greg?.

"He has agreed to sign the papers, even handing everything you demanded over to you, all he wants is for you to drop all the charges against him"
Priar spoke, A weird input from a supposed lawyer seeing as Cypher immediately shoved her side, Sephora smirked in that moment because she was about to have fun.

    "Really?, when did he tell you this?"
Sephora asked, watching as Her heartbeat suddenly picked up, her face going instantly pale while Sephora raised an eye brow.

      "Lemme guess, at the Holdings hotels and suites where he swore that whatever he had with Claudia was a temporary situation that would be fixed soon? Or his bedroom in the same hotel where he gave you the cheap ass ring you haven't stopped marvelling over since you arrived my home"

Now, Sephora was not in the least mad, Claudia thought Greg was some angel before she got with him, if miss Priar was thinking the same, she would never stop her, it just wasn't going to be happening in her sight.

    "I-I - I can explain ma'am"
She stuttered, moving closer to Sephora except Cypher  immediately blocked the way.

    "Oh its okay, you met him, thought he was charming, he seduced you and well, it worked, I can't fault you at all"
Sephora taunted, swinging her already crossed legs in a playful manner.

     "Only problem with that plan is that I can't have you around me or my kids considering the fact that his current Mistress is Crazy, when you get officially added to the list, that's going to be a lot of crazy going around and guess what, I don't want nor need that"
She stopped, staring rather intently at a very pale looking Priar.

      "I hope he actually counts the sacrifice you have made just to be with him cause it's literally your career in the trash "
With that Sephora shook her head in disappointment before walking to the play ground, standing behind a glass where she watched her kids play.
