CHAPTER 32

A week went by With Sephora taking care of Aries as much as she could.

She'd help the doctor clean him up, change his clothes and redress his wound, At that point it had become second nature.

The kids seemed to have moved past the fact that their uncle Aries had disappointed them hence the reason why they were more than ready to go back to the states, willingly at that.

This was the part that made it all tricky because although she didn't want the attachment that seemed to be growing between her kids and Aries, she also didn't want her kids growing up and thinking that every man who walked into their lives was going to disappoint them.

She knew how abandonment issues began and this was always the first step of it.

It was better for them to see him hurt, at least that way they would know that his absence was not because he didn't like them anymore.

"Are you sure about this Fiore?"
Ella asked again for the millionth time, Sephora could tell that she was very nervous.

"I'd hate to punch you just to get you to shut up babe"
Sephora replied before knocking on the door where her kids could be heard discussing among themselves.

Slowly she opened the door and watched as her kids smiled widely.

"Hi Mom, Hi Aunty"
They chorused while Sephora nodded with a smile.

"Come on kids, there's something I need you to see"
She called, watching as they climbed down front the bed, put on their crocs and started walking out With Sephora now leading the way.

Quietly they walked into the sitting room and then the elevator where they pressed the button to be taken to the top floor.

After the awfully quiet ride, they Finally they arrived at the top floor with the kids gushing over how flawless the space was.

"Uncle Aries floor is so beautiful"
Cara commented with eyes wide from astonishment.

"How'd you know it was his floor?"
Ella who hadn't spoken since the beginning asked in amusement.

"Uncle August and the helps stay in the first floor, We stay in the second floor, You and mama in the third floor, that leaves one floor and it doesn't take a text book to know whose floor it is Aunty"
Cara replied, nose sticking in the air as though Ella asked a rather dumb question.

"Secchione"

Ella whispered under her breath, eliciting some laughter from the kids who obviously heard her.

After a couple paces, a little stalling on Ella's part and Sephora threatening to actually punch her they walked into the room where Aries had been laying since the past week.

Slowly Sephora stopped and turned only to see the kids stunned into silence.

She wanted to say something but what was she supposed to say.

"Why is he there mommy"
Ivy asked, lips quivering from the obvious tears that were now falling.

"What happened to him Mom?"
Cara asked, unconsciously grabbing Ella in a tight grip.

"He got in an accident on his way back kids"
Sephora replied, it's not like she could tell them that he was attacked.

"I know how hard this must be but you need to be strong for yourselves and for him kids"
She encouraged then stepped aside with Ella, watching as they gathered round Aries, all the while placing soft kisses on his face before hugging his huge body.

Sephora stood there wondering what she was going to do next, the kids holiday had come to an end, it was time to go back to school but somehow, She couldn't bring herself to just Leave Aries in the state he was in.
