I saw the people loading the carts and sighed. This is going to be a hard drive for these people. They are loading dried goods. They have a plan to keep the carts rolling day and night with only brief pauses to change and feed horses. That is foolish.

"What you need to do is simple. You have to let them rest for a day or kill them."

I sighed hearing the argument coming my way. Why can't they deal with this themselves? "Bear do you know how we can get the..."

I growled at them morphing into a bear and towering menacingly over the pair barking a roar in their faces.

Eric ran over putting himself between us. "I think if the person that knows horses says they need a day to recover they need a day to recover. It's a long trip and the horses will be dragging everything you need to survive for that trip."

The two people looked from Eric to me snarling and growling and slunk away. Eric turned to me. "You and I are going to be on these carts. This is the second time you have morphed and looked like you were about to maim someone." His stern tone softened the hard anger I had in me.

I morphed back into a human. Eric rearranged my torn shirt sighing. "I think you're right... We are going to be constantly behind the group and these questions need answers."

Eric smiled and gestured to the little aria I had made my own. "Come on let's talk over here."

A man ran into the cave panting. He dropped to his knees in front of me. It was the spider I sent to find the others. "Take a moment to catch your breath." I said.

Eric sighed and shook his head at me. He's worried because I never got my nap. I don't blame him. I'm becoming more angry by the minute. "Tiger said he is sending supplies. We should stay here so that they can send people to protect us as we move and extra horses to be able to move quicker." The spider said getting to his feet.

"Did he happen to say why he wanted us to whole up here?"

The spider nodded. "He said that there is a bad feeling in the air and it is looking like they may need to dig in for a while."

I growled. "How can they supply us and themselves if they need to dig in!"

"Tiger said you may need to be the hammer to his anvil if it goes wrong. There's a village that may be a stop-off point if it's not a trap. They are four or five days from us. If we don't get a message in a day. We are to head out."

I sighed and nodded looking at the stack of weapons and armour. This is not good. Why would he do that? They can't possibly hold out five days in an attack out in the open. "Bear! Another group." Shouted one of the lookouts from the entrance.

I sighed rubbing my forehead "Coming."

Eric dismissed the Spider and stood in front of me. "You can delegate you know."
