"You hate me now, but you'll get it eventually. This is the hard part... 'Cause you can't help Scott and save your dad's life." You've still got time, Stiles. You've still got time."

"Stilinski, right? You said his insurance was with the county? He's a deputy?" the receptionist said.

Stiles looked at her irritably. "No, he's the Sheriff. He's the county Sheriff, okay? He's covered. I mean, he should be covered."

I looked at Stiles, and placed a hand on his knee to calm him down, and he took my hand in both of his as he continued to argue with the nurse, occasionally squeezing my hand for comfort.

Melissa ran over to where we were, and took the clipboard from the other nurse. "I'll take care of it." she turned to us, "I texted Scott. He's coming as soon as he can. I can call anyone else?"

"No, no, no. Don't call anyone." Stiles shook his head.

"Is there anyone else we should notify? A next of kin?" the nurse asked.

Stiles looked at her despairingly. "No, it's me. It's just me."

The nurse looked at Melissa, and the two walked away as Stiles turned to me.

"You should go see Argent. Tell him we're not going to make it to the movie night tonight." Stiles said to me.

"What? No. I'll just text him. I don't want you to be alone." I told him.

"Parker," he brushed the back of his hand down my cheek. "Please. I don't want you to see this if something bad happens. I don't want you to see me like that."

I shook my head. "No. I'm staying here with you. I'll text him."

Stiles sighed, but smiled a little. "Okay. I'll be right back. I need to talk to Melissa about something." he kissed my forehead, and left to where Melissa was.

I paced the length of the waiting room, and texted him quickly.

My phone rang a second later.

"Why are you calling me, Argent?"

"Hello to you too. And maybe don't lead with 'I'm at the hospital' next time."

"Oh, yeah, my bad. But I'm okay. Stiles is okay. Noah...he's hurt."

"How bad is it?"

"We don't know yet," I admitted, glancing over to see Stiles now talking with Dr. Geyer. "So, I don't think we're going to be able to do our movie night tonight."

"That doesn't matter, Parker. We can always reschedule. Right now, you need to be there for Stiles and his dad." he said, "...you're in the waiting room?"

"Yeah, why—" I stopped talking when Argent walked into the waiting room, ending the call between us. "Why are you here?"

"What, like I'm just going to hear that and not rush over to be with you guys?" he said, putting his hands in his pockets. "How are you?"
