Chapter 24: My revenge back

3rd POV

A couple of months had passed since then. Not only did Alexander now live together with Freya and Shino, but Alexander had connected his old cave home together.

Their residence expanded as a result of the relatively large hole in the wall that Alexander had smashed. Freya repurposed it into a storage room, making practical use of the additional space.

In the present, Shino ate a bowl of chicken soup left over from the morning. The panther silently enjoyed his meal in peace while observing the ongoing bickering in front of him.

He watch Freya and Alexander going at it once more—engaged in their usual playful banter and teasing. Typically, he would always witness his wife emerge victorious every time. However, this time, he noticed Alexander winning, with his chest puffed up boldly.

Shino shifted his attention to his wife, observing her bashful expression. Part of him wanted to comfort her embarrassment, while another part yearned to see more of that expression.

"I just want a kiss on the lips!" Alexander boldly yelled.

"What? No!" Freya blushed, refusing as she shook her head, declining.

"It wasn't a request, my sweet mate. It was an order! Don't you remember I'm the patriarch?" he teased.

"You cocky wolf! Are you trying to blackmail me? I'll show you!" Freya said back, pouting as she came closer to him with her reddened cheeks.

"Ha! Just admit it, you're scared. It's okay~"

Alexander teased, coming closer as he met Freya's face. A smirk appeared before him once he saw his mate's blushing expression.

It made Alexander's heart thumped in excitement; seeing his mate's pouting face up close was too adorable! He, too, was flustered, wanting to back away to calm his beating heart. But he knew that most of the time they teased each other, his mate Freya would win, leaving him angry yet really flustered with her sly flirtations.

This time, he could see her obvious shyness and wanted to win once and for all, showing that he, too, could make her feel this way. After all, this was his revenge against her!

Alexander pouted, crossing his arms, frustrated by his mate's reluctance to kiss him. He was annoyed that she refused to give him even a single kiss on the lips. Shino behind them already had a kiss not one but two times. That alone made Alexander a little jealous.

Despite being mated and spending multiple nights making love, Alexander could still sense that Freya didn't desire a kiss. Obtaining a kiss at night posed no problem, but during the day, Freya consistently declined. It seemed as if she were embarrassed by his affectionate gestures when other orcs observed them.

However, to Alexander, he didn't care and willingly let others witness their connection. He wanted everyone to proudly know that Freya was his mate and the lady of the Heihei tribe, his spouse as the patriarch.

Spending his days with Freya, Alexander gained insight into her and discovered new aspects of the tribe they inhabited. With her assistance in managing the Heihei tribe, significant improvements were achieved. The tribe underwent a profound transformation, leading to a better life for their people. 

It was a big change. From the expansion of tall stone walls, expansive farmland flourishing with abundant crops for trade and sustenance for their people.

The once shabby and struggling tribe had evolved into a thriving community, capitalizing on its advantageous location. Nestled near tall rocky mountains, the tribe unearthed hidden jewels within deep, perilous caves. Additionally, the surrounding forest provided an abundance of edible plants and fruits, contributing to the overall success of the tribe.
