After a night filled with chattering and giggles from the wolf cubs. It eventually came to an end. All the playing made the tiny cubs soon fall asleep.

The next day passed, and with the four cubs huddled together, asleep in their comfortable crib, the house was at peace.

The breezy wind soared through the house, while the sounds of gently falling leaves created a moment of tranquility for the adults. They didn't need to worry about the children and could enjoy a few minutes of peace and quiet.

While Lucas was out gathering and hunting for breakfast, the small sound of a stone bowl falling from a broken cabinet was heard by one of the cubs. It woke the wolf cub from his sleep. The oldest cub, Noah, with his tiny body, stood up and escaped from his wooden crib.

As soon as Noah hopped out of the crib, his tiny feet began running right out of the room, despite the possibility of his parents finding out he was awake. Or even worse!

A possibility of his own wolf father finding out of his escape, likely to get a smack. Noah did not care. Yesterday, Noah had beaten his green haired uncle from a game of tug. The confidence in his body made him sure of it.

The brave cub managed to pry open the door and squeeze his body through the small gap, now entering the hallway. From there, the small cub's golden eyes sparkled with determination.

From the moment he woke up hearing that sound, he believed it was a sign. Unlike his four brothers, Noah's mind was filled with big imagination and curiosity.

The small cub thought the sound was calling to him. From all the bedtime stories his mother had read to them, Noah knew it had to be it.

He ran down the hallway, searching for his quest, only to hear the sound of his mother's voice. In an instant Noah ran right to his mommy's bedroom. He growled seeing that the big large wooden door was blocking his way.

It closed shut and he couldn't pry it open. A light bulb shone on top of his head once he had an idea. With a lot of observation of how doors are used, Noah caught on knowing how he might open the door.

Noah, with determined focus, pulled a wooden broom against the door and began his ascent with careful, deliberate movements. Gradually, he scaled the makeshift ladder, his tiny paws gripping tightly. Just as he reached the pinnacle of his climb, he skillfully opened the door handle, swinging the door open a moment before the broom clattered to the ground beneath him.

Once the door opened Noah immediately ran rushing to his mommy. He growled, smelling someone familiar.

With the help of the large blanket draped on the floor, Noah leaped, using the blanket as a rope to climb onto the bed. The wolf cub howled upon catching sight of his mother with small tears on her face. Seeing his own mother cry in bed made Noah growl, feeling furious. In that moment, he growled and turned around, seeing his own wolf father sleeping right beside his mother.

From there, Noah charged, thinking it was his father's doing! The tiny wolf cub knew that his father was ten times bigger than him, but it didn't mean anything to the cub. Noah and his siblings love their mother, he felt compelled to do something about it. Noah huffed as his tiny body ran right to his sleeping father's face.

"Dadda, away!" The cub growled.

While the cub had a pouting face and growled in a low tone, Alexander slept comfortably. From the moment he heard the door creak, Alexander had already noticed his son Noah entering but decided to ignore him and continue sleeping instead.

Alexander felt Noah's tiny body jumping up and down in his way of fighting, sometimes nipping at his ears, and at other times, laying his tiny body on his face as he growled at him.

"Away!" Noah repeated.

"Noah be quiet, you're going to wake up your mother. Go back to sleep." Alexander whispered, gently brushing aside his son's body that was on his face.

The tiny wolf cub growled with a pouting face. From the moment Alexander had picked up his son and placed him between himself and Freya to sleep, the cub remained persistent. His pouting face is still there.

Feeling Noah's paws climbing up and around his shoulder, Alexander began to feel nips at his brown hair. Noah's tiny teeth and paws clumsily brushed his father's hair as he tried to continue his fight.

"Noah, not now" Alexander mumbled, still in bed sleeping.

From there, Alexander grew irritated. With his eldest son waking up, Alexander knew that peace and quiet would soon be disrupted once the rest of his sons woke up.

Alexander used both of his hands to try and grab his son away from his hair. He struggled to get Noah into his hands but managed to grab him the moment he tried to escape. During that time, Alexander received tiny bites and chews from Noah. But in the end, it was worth it, as Noah was in his clutches.

Now fully awake, Alexander saw his tiny son growling in his hands as his tiny body wiggled, trying to escape. Alexander thought of his son like a cave worm trying to wiggle free.

"Noah," he said, but was ignored. He let out a growl, making Noah stop and stare, halting his wiggling body.

Both father and son's golden eyes looked at each other in pure silence. But soon a growl awoke from Noah as he yapped to his father.

"No! Dadda, has two stwop" Noah yapped.

"Stop?" Alexander questioned his son's bantering.

More words came out of Noah's mouth in beast language. It was a bunch of baby words that Alexander didn't understand at all. He didn't know what was running through his son's head but all Alexander wanted was for him to go back to sleep.

After his four sons were born, Alexander experienced many sleepless nights. He stared right at his growling son Noah face to face as he remembered one familiar night just like this one.

"Mommy ish- cry! I-" Noah blabbered out to him.

"Crying?" Alexander questioned, finally understanding him.

Noah's ears perked up, and he nodded.

"Yea" Noah said.

As Alexander saw his son nodding, he remained silent. Now Alexander understood what Noah meant by his mom "crying". Feeling a bit guilty about his son's worry.

Alexander realized that his son, still young and naive, did not understand what had happened last night. It was a passionate night for him and his wife.

Alexander turned his head around looking at his wife. It was true she had tears on her face. He brushed her purple hair from the side and pulled up the blanket tucking her in.

"Don't worry. Mommy is fine. She is tired. Why don't we go hunting in the afternoon to make mommy feel better?" Alexander whispered, his voice a soothing balm that reassured his son with a warmth that felt like a gentle hug.

"Ya!" Noah cheerfully said.

Following that moment of heartfelt reassurance, Noah felt a deep sense of peace wash over him. Finally succumbing to the comfort of his father's words, he reluctantly disentangled himself from his protective embrace and, with sleepy steps, returned to nestle into the cozy sanctuary between his parents.

That early morning Noah's adventure came to an end. The cub felt satisfied with his adventure.
