Freya POV

Today was the perfect day. With meticulous planning, I had set everything in motion. Earlier this morning, while my babies were still peacefully sleeping in their room, My and I were busy prepping food for our beach day.

The sun was shining brightly, and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky—ideal weather for a family trip to the beach!

I was certain my cubs would be thrilled. Especially, having a break from school.

I remembered a few days ago telling my family about having a beach day. They were at first confused. All of them didn't know what a beach day was. Guess it's not common for orcs to go to the beach since I once heard from Darla, my friend, that beaches are scorching hot when in too long, giving sun burns. After I explained to them what it was their confused faces changed into excitement and happiness seeing some of them smiling. It was mostly my cubs excited. They swished their tails as I saw their eyes sparkle having just learned of beach fun.

Just a few weeks ago, Alex and I had unveiled a series of initiatives, ranging from new laws to ambitious building projects to bring to the Heihei wolf tribe. One significant add-in was the recent launch of a school system, a place where all cubs/kids could receive an education.

Before Alex and I implemented it officially there was some sort of schooling system in the tribe but only male cubs were given the option. The old hut that was meant for schooling wasn't up to standard! The roof had holes and when stepping foot in it the wooden floors would creak, clearly not safe at all!

With the new school system, all cubs now have the opportunity to attend school. I ensured that female cubs receive the same rights as boys. Just like how females in the tribe have some sort of duty instead of laying around everyone inside the tribe was doing well with the new implements.

Some women in the tribe also volunteered as teachers and caretakers. My best friend Bethany unexpectedly rose to the position of head of the school. Likely due to her experience raising lots of wolf cubs, she possesses a strong understanding of childcare and fair discipline. Seeing her in charge was the right decision Alex made. Actually... Now that I think about it... there was one point a mob of orcs with torches standing in protest where Alex and some of his men were having a conference.

At that time, you would think the orcs protesting were furious, fighting for what they wanted. Bringing their opinion and thoughts to physically outside the mountain border. But actually it wasn't... the protest was somewhat useless but surprising to hear. Turns out the protest with some orcs holding torches as if they were ready to fight was not that but so holding the torches would attract Alex's attention to bringing him out immediately.

It definitely worked.

The moment Alex came out, concerned of what was happening he was flabbergasted by what he just witnessed. Peter, alongside him, was in both shock and horror as he immediately kneeled down apologizing. Peter, his assistant, was mortified over this situation happening right before him. In the center of all the ruckus, Bethany came as she bluntly told Alex for her to be in charge of the school. She knew this since I had told her of it. Alex, looking at Bethany bluntly replied back. Telling her that he was going to do that after the conference was over but guess he didn't have to now.

With the success of our farming and trading ventures, we had generated enough funds to construct new homes for the orcs and create a variety of job opportunities to expand the tribe.

IN THE PRESENT- As I packed the last of the food into the basket, I couldn't help but smile.

"Lucas, did you remember to bring the extra towels?" I called out, my voice tinged with excitement.
