I try to confront the figure but suddenly a hand appears on my face and smashes my head into the ground.
Well, that's what was supposed to happen, but it felt like I fell right through it.
Still unable to see where I am I try to regain my balance as I feel myself flailing and flipping through mid-air. Until I finally land on my feet surprisingly.
I regain my vision like someone turned on a light switch somewhere. The scenery is a giant, brown, rocky land space. In front of me, a giant rock wall going up indefinitely but the top not visible through a thick hazy darkness obscuring my view.
The more I analyze the area I notice this entire area is surrounded by haze. It's so far out that it's hard to notice at first glance.
I also noticed that I have no access to altitude here. "This must be some form of space manipulation" I mutter to myself. "Not quite kid." Says the same voice once again.
"This is a space you're gonna get very familiar with." Perplexed I search for a culprit, But to no avail.
"You're still far too weak. You can't even sense me when I'm all around you."
"Chirp, Chirp Chirp" I hear as I wake up in the middle of the road. "Kayui you good?" I see my older brother in my face. "Oh, so you're visiting too?" I ask him "Enough about me you look rough younger brother. Where's Makil, I want to spar."
[7 hours later]
I wake up in a cold sweat. Was it all a dream? No this didn't feel like last time. I shot out of my room and it was real. Glim was here so none of it was a dream.
"Good morning Kayui." Said Glim. "I wish your oldest brother could be here as well," said my mother.
"One of you take me on Now," I said in a fit of rage. "You obviously can't beat me no matter what grade you're in" Said Makil laughing. "I'll take you on." Said Glim.
[A few minutes later]
"This should be good," Said Makil watching us from above.
"Let's go, and don't hold back or I'll Kill you," I said. Still exhausted from the night before, I rushed in throwing an easily dodged right hand.
Glim faints a left hand and I ducked under being caught with a brutal uppercut sending me back.
Before I can halt and glim can recover I burst aura evenly into my back. Not mustering enough power to propel me from exhaustion but stopping my momentum I get low to the ground.
"That won't work," said Glim preparing a knee. Again I force aura into my feet propelling myself into the air. I raised my arms and brought them as close as possible before shooting 100% of my reserved aura into my hands.
"He's getting the hang of this new ability fast," said Makil.
The force of the impact created a small shockwave that destroyed the shrubs and ground under me.
To my shock, there was nothing below me but dissolving light.
"Neat trick huh?" Said someone behind me. "Only works on those eager enough to rush in blindly." A hand grabs my shoulder and I throw an elbow. Missing I fall to the ground.
"I know you're exhausted Kayui," Glim mutters. Makil shakes his head in agreement. "I can still beat you," I say with an irregular amount of difficulty.
Both appear above me in a flash. "Not even close." Says both In unison. "You've grown," Says Makil. "Maybe when you're rested," Says Glim humbly.
Before I could resist I found myself at home resting for the rest of the weekend in thought.
