"Kayui. Kayui wake up!" someone screams into my ear. First I hear slithering and then a blood-curdling screech in the fairly silent room.
"We have to move NOW," still not fully aware of the situation I feel a strong grip on my torn shirt and shortly after wind on my back.
*Thud* The impact wakes me up fully. The first thing I saw was a giant eel-like creature crushing Modoru with its lower half.
I rush in at full speed. "KAYUI WATCH OUT." Modoru strained out just in time for me to notice the bolt of lightning coming from the tail of the beast.
Catapulting myself over the bolt I take my dagger out of the sheath and kick it full force into the tail restraining it.
"I got you Modoru," I say swooping down and grabbing him out by his collar while the eel is distracted by the pain.
I toss him to the ground behind a wall. "What happened?" I say to him keeping an eye on the eel. "You disappeared on me Modoru."
"I got grabbed by something. I'm sorry but we gotta worry about the real problem here" he said.
"Okay, what's the game plan?" I ask. "I can't do much utility-wise with my elements so we have to go in fighting," he explains. "Okay, that sounds good to me."
We approach the beast trying to display confidence. "You don't wanna go in empty hand do you?" he tossed me a spear. "I've noticed you have a knack for throwing things" he chuckles. "Yeah, thanks" I respond.
"Let's go, I'll lead," I say as we both shoot from behind the wall. Modoru moves on my feet as I shoot up a wall pouncing off it to grab my now almost broken dagger.
Noticing us the eel tries to swat me away with its tail to no avail. Propelling myself downward I lop off the tail in one solid movement.
Focused on me the now enraged monster didn't notice Modoru jump to stab it in the eye.
I place my hand on the lower half of the eel forcing my aura into it propelling it into the air.
"NOW MODORU!" I yell. Hearing my queue he goes for the kill attempting to cut off the head of the eel.
Before he could another lightning figure appeared and practically ripping Modoru from the air by his neck.
I rush after it, gaining on him I throw my dagger on the goind in front of him and it shatters distracting him. I go in with a kick to destroy the noticeably bulkier soldier.
I catch Moduru and place him on the ground.
"Leave the rest to me Modoru, I got this from here," I say to my visibly injured friend walking toward the furious beast and his number of minions.
"Let's try something new" I swiftly cut down three of the many minions standing around the beast before the eel attempts to crush me with its serrated blade like teeth.
Dodging that attack launching myself in the air I force as much aura as I could into three of my fingers.
Releasing it down a blade shoots spanning from my fingers all the way through the misters neck into the ground.
This attack killing it once and for all.
