The world around me distorted and morphed until I was back in that rocky landscape once again.
In seconds my exhaustion dissipated and I was back to full strength maybe stronger.
"You've grown a bit stronger," He said once again hiding in the shadows.
"Show yourself, coward," I said purely out of curiosity. What is this realm and why does he keep bringing me here?
With no response, I try to jump up the towering wall ahead of me to no avail. That confirmed my suspicion that I can't use altitude here.
"I'll leave you here for 24 hours. Train however way you like and then you're out"
I contemplate for a bit before assessing that I should stop questioning myself and take this opportunity. But the new question was how would I train here?
So I meditated. This place felt unnaturally calm without a voice in my head. I felt a connection here, It was easy to focus.
An unknown amount of time goes by when I finally felt in synch with my environment.
When I opened my eyes it was far clearer than before and I felt stronger. The darkness that surrounded me seemed to go even farther away than before.
"You've been here for 15 hours and I still see almost no improvement. You're helpless maybe you should just leave now," I hear. "You can't be any stronger you won't even face me," I shout back.
A glint of light appears in my sight for an instant and I find myself deep in the giant wall.
"You don't wanna face me," I try to muster a response up but ultimately it fails. "Get out of my world weakling."
I woke seconds after I left. It's been hours for me but mere seconds here.
My shirt was torn by the bolt that had just struck me nearly falling off. To my surprise though I was perfectly fine.
"Modoru where are you?!" I shout but get no response. I guess I'll do this on my own.
This floor was more like a maze, the door nowhere in sight just tons of hallways. I gotta find Modoru so we can figure this out.
Why would he leave me, what hit me, and how was this room bigger than the rest? I felt a surge in energy when I noticed my stamina was fully restored my body felt amazing.
Three lightning figures shot out a gap in the wall. I've picked up all the weaknesses of these sentries since they're the same every time.
I pick up my dagger and rush in for the one on the far right. They all have basic combat ability maybe a little stronger than an average student but they die in one attack.
With even greater speed than before I stabbed it in the neck but it didn't dissipate like the rest. This one fell to the ground with a heavy thud and the second one grabbed onto my back and dropped to the ground.
The third landed on me and they all began to expand 3 times their original size growing. My eyes widened at the realization of what was happening I shouted out for Modoru.
Not getting an answer I focused all my altitude to my core and released.
