"Yo, you wanna go to this festival before you head home? It'll be fun, trust me!"

[A few minutes later]

"See Kayui isn't this cool," Kenko exclaimed pointing at the giant tin statue of a frail man with a thick beard surrounded by bright lights and food stands.

"Yeah it's pretty packed as well," I said back scratching the back of my head.

"They have some exotic food here. The festival was created for some farmer from a long time ago." She said pointing to a banner above us.

The banner read something about an Agricultural Revolution. Regardless I want to try some food.

"Look, there's tons of stuff here," Kenko yells running to a stand that says "Strength Enhancement". Probably a scam.

The man at the stand explains to us how the odd-looking thing worked. It's supposed to increase the amount of altitude in your blood flow.

This comes with a lot of benefits if true but could be extremely dangerous as well.

I can't tell if it's a fruit or vegetable. It looks more like a fruit to be honest. The last few he had left were all different colors, being all sort of reddish.

An odd pear-like shape with a thick, layered outer shell. It reminds me of a pinecone.

"Some can adapt and control their altitude at will. This can be achieved naturally with extreme work and talent but this is the fastest way"

"Seriously? How much!" Kenko asked the small man excitedly.

"Around 50k each. You'd be the first buyer today. Their extremely rare hence the protective glass surrounding them." He said to her.

"Yeah Kenko we don't have that type of money right now," I said slightly disappointed.

She slumps her shoulders and puckers her lips as we walk away.

"You see that Kayui?"

Our shadows were outlined by a blue glaring light. A wave of heat blares over my back as a blue sphere the size of a soccer ball flows between me and Kenko.

The intense heat flowing from it and the eery silence that surrounded us gave me a bad feeling.

In an instant, I grabbed Kenko and encased both of us in my aura. Not even a second later the orb exploded engulfing us and the area in a blue flame.

"Go find help," I say to her before the smoke clears.

She dashes off behind me as I look at the chaos that was so quickly caused. Everything around me burning, and a man standing in the middle holding the glass cases the fruit was in.

I look over to see the stand burned to complete ash more than anything else the merchant is nowhere to be found.

The man lowers his hood to reveal pale scarred skin and dark hair. His wide grin and deep grey eyes send fear into my heart but it quickly subsides as I run toward him.

He points the palm of his hand towards me without hesitation. I assume he's charging an attack and quick dodge out of his line of sight.

Hitting the ground hands first the even larger flame releases from his hand going over me. He reacts quickly jumping up as I go for a leg sweep.

I jump after him kicking him in the chest. The burning sensation surrounds me once again. "Behind me?"

Attempting to dodge I kick off the man downward before I notice the second orb below me.

Heading straight for the blast zone I send aura into my side. Due to fatigue I barely evade the blast.

"Nice to meet you, kid," He says catching himself. "It's a pity, you have lots of potential,"

A knee knocks me off balance. "Don't die yet." He says grabbing my collar.

I grab his wrist and shoot pressure into his elbow snapping it in half.

I catch my breath. "You're pitiful," I shout not letting him recover.

Quickly he jumps back as I point two fingers toward him. In a flash, a tower of ice envelops the left side of his body constricting him completely.

"You Okay kid?" An officer roars toward me from under the broken structure I was resting on.

"As good I can be," I say back with a weak smile through my now bleeding lip.
