Part 14: A Break

[3 months later]

"Man everything has been so calm lately" Said Modoru. "Yeah, but we've all grown stronger," I replied.

"We're still the weakest class no doubt. Even with us three and Kenko," said Taz seemingly annoyed. "Those three, I can't wait until next year's tournament," he yelled. "I wanna fight them right now!"

"Relax Taz we'll get there," I said. "They are getting stronger as well even faster than us," said Modoru.

"All that means is to go even harder" I shot back before the bell rang. "I'll see y'all later today."

While walking to class I feel a breeze behind me. "I can sense you from anywhere Makil. Get to class we're already late."

"Let's spar," he said. "I heard you got stronger".

He flew through a window swiftly and I followed.

The instant I got out the window I felt pressure on my back forcing me downwards.

I catch myself slamming my aura-covered hand on the wall.

"Nice one." I heard not able to pinpoint where from. "Dodge this one,"

A fist comes at me when the immeasurable speeds. Without thinking I disperse the aura around my hand throwing concrete everywhere.

I grab his hand slinging him down 5 stories to the ground. Looking to my right I see a classroom of scared students.

From above I hear a voice, "Look what you did now we're both in trouble" said Makil sliding down the wall toward me.

[End of the day]

"Yo, Kayui right? Be more careful to not embarrass our class like that anymore. It was pretty cool though" A high-pitched voice behind me.

"Oh, you're the girl who defeated Modoru right?" "My name is Kenko, thank you." She responded to me with a judging look.

"Oh, nice to meet you Kenko but I gotta run have a good spring break." I awkwardly laugh walking away.

I walked around the gate before dashing off before she could notice. Suddenly my brother pops up next to me.

"She's pretty cute," he said supporting himself with a platform of light. "It's not like that we just met" I respond.

"It doesn't matter, you ready to train?" He said. "Yeah let's do it call Makil."
