Still suspended in the air I was vulnerable to anything. That wasn't even my biggest worry. How am I gonna survive this fall?

All of the altitude in my body was drained and that attack propelled me even farther up.

To my surprise, all of the leftover enemies dissipated but the eel stayed in its place.

Also, An injured Modoru jumps up to save me from splatting to the ground.

"You saw that?" I said to him "I've never done anything like that before." "Yeah that was pretty cool man but I don't think we can go on" he responded with some difficulty.

"Congrats you've made it to floor 15"

"That's different," I say. Maybe we can go ahead. "I think we should be good."

As we proceeded through the door to that had just appeared next to us everything lit up.

The room was similar to the room at the start but with people and what seemed to be a shop.

"Good job kids you made it past the prerequisites of The Tower of Fulgur," Said a rather short man. Tower of Fulgur? What an odd name.

"Prerequisites?" Modoru asked. "We barely made it out alive" I exclaim.

"But you made it though," He said with a smile. "This is a checkpoint floor. You can rest here or leave if you'd like but you'll have to make it back next time." Said another voice behind us.

"Hi, I'm a store clerk you can buy anything you need here." She said. "You look familiar what's your name kid?"

"Kayui Iya" I reply. "Oh, you're his little brother then," she said back with surprise.

"If you need anything we're here. Medical is over there if you need." She said to us both.

[Two Days Later]

"Today we'll be expanding our arsenal learning new moves or techniques with our elements". Mr. Hong said this while walking to the back of the classroom.

"There's some gear hear if you need help. First, we we'll brainstorm and then we'll be heading outside. Choose a partner if you'd like."

Modoru was still out from his injuries so that leaves me with no one.

"Hey you wanna work with me?" asked a familiar face. "Oh, I remember you. I never caught your name."

"Dante, Dante Aspen. You can call me Taz, and you got lucky it won't happen again."

[A Few Minutes Later]

"Okay let's try you're moves first Taz" He forms a thick layer of dark ice around his entire upper right half.

"Attack me," I say, with no hesitation, he rushes in but I swiftly dodge. "Too slow" I taunted.

More ice formed around his legs and thinned around his arms. He rushed at me again noticeably faster. Caught off guard I failed to notice the ball of ice coming towards me.

"Hah, you've grown arrogant. I got you this time." Said Taz arrogantly.

"Why is it so cold" I said. "My ice absorbs heat and replaces it with cold."

"Okay then it's my turn I don't know how to hold back so be ready."

I closed my eyes and imagined the aura in my body flowing to my right hand. When I opened them again there was a slight light purple glow around it. I point my finger at Taz sending a thin but sharp beam towards him.

He easily dodges but that was only a distraction as I got behind him before he could dodge.

Instead, he formed a thick ice shield. I stuck the ice with as much power as I could muster and it shattered with a visible shockwave around it sending the both of us back.

Everyone in our class halts their training and stares. "I'm good," Yells Taz. "Yeah so am I," I say as well and everyone goes back to training in an instant.

"That was great you two but I think you guys should take a break." Says Mr.Hong who was also training. "I wanna master this teaching, I think I'll continue. Taz you in?" I say. "You know it." He responds.

"Suit yourselves tomorrow we're coming back even harder so be ready,"
