"What is it?" Ellie questioned as she tried to peek her head over the crowd of people, her height not doing her justice. She turned to look at Kyujin who had just about wedged herself through the huddle of boys.
"It's for the overnight school trip!" Kyujin excitedly stated and clapped her hands together, the younger girls eyes widened as she once again reached her tippy toes and desperately tried to look at the notice board.
"Kyujin! Ellie," Sunoo's voice called out as he approached the two girls. "Do you know where we are going yet?" He wondered and both Ellie and Kyujin shook their heads, the older girl latching onto her boyfriends arm in the process.
"I'll go and try and find out from other people." Kyujin suggested and removed her hold from Sunoo to ask around. Ellie awkwardly cleared her throat and looked down at her feet, trying to think of something to say to fill the silence.
"Oh, was Jungwon alright after?" Sunoo questioned causing Ellie to grow confused. "He hit Niki pretty hard after he said a few nasty comments, he hasn't picked up my calls since I pulled him away." He explained.
"What nasty comments?" Ellie worried, hoping Niki didn't say anything hurtful against Jungwon. Sunoo shifted uncomfortably on his feet and tucked his hands into his pockets.
"He was just saying a few remarks about you and Jungwon got defences and lashed out. But he had every right to, I'm just worried that he hurt his hand badly." Sunoo answered and runs his hand through his hair.
Jungwon got into a fight for her? He punched his best friend.. for her? Ellie's heart couldn't help but flip at the thought of the boy defending and protecting her. "I'll try and find him." She reassured and turned to walk down the hallway of the school.
A smiley Jungwon began to appear at the other end of the hall, his smile only getting brighter the closer he got to the girl. "Hey, I heard the location for the school trip has been announced." He excitedly spoke, Ellie's gaze dropping to his slightly bruised knuckles. "Are you okay?" He questioned, noticing her flattened expression.
She wanted to say something, she really did. But she knew it would either ruin his happy mood or make things awkward. "Yep! I'm good. It's too crowded over there to see the notice board, I'll just wait till the huddle dies down." She responded, looking back up into his sparkling eyes - deciding to ignore the pile of questions she wanted to ask him.
Jungwon nodded and looked past the girl and at the crowd of students, he let out a sigh and buried his hands into his pockets. "Wanna play hookey?" He smirked and bent down to match her height. "I wanna take you somewhere."
